Thanks for your review. I like ghost and flame. I love a good orange ink. I wish I had gotten the Inkvent calendar this year. Clearly, I missed out.

You're very welcome. I'm also a huge fan of orange inks. My all time favourite one is probably Sailor's Kin-Mokkusei. Mind you, you can still get Inkvent! A lot of stores still sell them. I got mine at Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery and when I was there last week they still had two in stock. So if you look it up online I'm sure you can find a seller near you!

Thanks for this - I've been curious what was in this year's inkvent. When you say that TWSBI is a demonstrator you're not wrong, but the feature you describe is the filling mechanism, a 'piston filler'. A demonstrator is a pen that is transparent so you can see the insides (i.e. you could use it to demonstrate how fountain pens work).

You're very welcome, I hope it helped you make up your mind about Inkvent Green :). I had looked on various websites from stores when I branched out into the fountain pen world, and they listed non transparent pens as demonstrators so that's where I went wrong. So thank you for clarifying that, new thing learned! :)

@@ShenanigansinMotion they were probably somewhat translucent. Sometimes, demonstrators aren't completely transparent. I think that's for marketing though since demonstrators are usually very popular.

Thank you for the video. I decided to not buy this one. Too many colors disappointed me. These are too expensive to be disappointed with the purchase. I am thrilled that I was able to get my hands on the 2021 calendar. The swatches on that one is beautiful!

Wonderful review! We can really see the colour of the inks with your samples. Can I ask about the stamp you used with the little pen and bottle?

Thank you so much, I'm glad you found it useful! And of course you can! It's a self-inking stamp by Midori. It's quite good, BUT I have found that if you write too close to the lines, with some inks they start running, so it's a bit of a mess. Places like Desk gems and Everyday Explorer's Co sell other types of ink bottles/ink swatching stamps though, that are traditional wooden block or clear stamps, so you'd be able to use them with an ink that stays crisp all the time :). I hope that helps, if not, feel free to ask more questions and I'll do my best to answer them!

I just opened this myself, but Artic Blast was the only one I am getting a bottle of with its blue sheen. I have the other colors in shades that I like better. From your review I didn't catch the sheen. Never did figure out what camelion is.

Yeah see, the way ink shows up has everything to do with the paper and medium you use for swatching. I used a Kakimori dip pen on Maruman Croquis paper, but if you use a fountain pen on different paper, you might see different results. It's the analog version of "colours may be different depending on your monitor and brightness settings" :). I don't have a lot of inks from this one I'd purchase in a full size either, so far this is the least interesting of all the Inkvent series for me personally.

I've ordered inks from Kiwi ink in California but haven't received them yet, might try hippo noto next. I keep 2 pens inked with KWZ Sheen Machine and Warsaw Dreaming. Clairfontain and Rodia are locally available but for my best results I use "photo" glossy copy paper. For a "gotcha" pink have you tried Noodlers Dragon Catfish?

Scented inks sounds like such a bad idea...lol. I considered getting it but I don't think I would now because I would not be able to do the scents and I'm with you on not caring for red ink 😅 Thank you so much for sharing!!! 🥰

Yeah… I’m on the fence. Since I had covid, my sense of smell is still hit or miss. Even a year and a half later. So scented inks are a waste for me. So I’m going to see what else is here. Watching now

If only Bpost let me send ink, l’d send you the bottle of Bliss! I love Ghost, l am so getting it in full size! Mine is going to be empty before the full size release, l can just see it happen 🤣

I think its another one of those situations where companies are allowed to do it but regular people aren’t. Like nail polish, same thing 😑. I can’t send it, but l can buy it online and have it sent to my house.
