Thanks Adam…much enjoyed. I will e very interested, as I am sure others will be, on how the handling of the V12changes with different pedal heights. I don’t think any reviewer has reported on this as yet. Keep up the good work, I always enjoy it when you or Kate put out a new video. 👍
Another candidate for the Nylonove Pedals, I have a 16X and have already ordered them. On your say so principally, but no promo code :-) Showing blue LED's could be a problem here in the UK. I changed my CX321 to the Chao Yang H-5167 on the 16X (16" wheel) which I like much better. Best described as just feeling safer (same tyre pressure 28psi).
Turning and general handling is indeed much nicer on the H-5167! Tram-lining gone, predicable turning and pretty soft and cushy, although it's only a 16" it feels like riding on a big balloon.
I really wanted this wheel, but I think that I will stick with my Begode T3. Range is probably very similar because T3 is slower and with thinner tire. What about the acceleration of V12? Can it beat T3 in 0-40 km/h? I really love the acceleration of T3 and it is a lot lighter and smaller for city commuting. And you can also make it waterproof...
Which Kenda tire is your friend using in 16x3.0? Great tire options in this size are the Chao Yang H-666 (good for all terrain) and Chao Yang H-5167 (less thread, playful handling for street)
I agree that you make a very great point - the front light & rear lights should be standard across all e-wheel models & companies have a responsibility to form some non negotiable trading safety standards. With the establishment of an E-wheel Customers Union, the feasibility of the 2021/22 wheels becoming legally respected by UK Government or DVLA would increase fairly & quickly right?
I cant make a decision between s20 and v12. But I am 52j. and 95kg, so I guess a wheel with suspension would be the best choice for me. Maybe you can make a vid about a comparison between suspension vs nonsuspension wheels?
With regard to the lights on an EUC, does the light move up and down when accelerating or braking? That is does the light blind someone ahead of you when leaning back to brake? Do any EUCs have a steady light option that keeps the lights aimed the same height no matter the EUC tilt angle?
I need an upgrade and I am still not 100% convinced about v12. I need a replacement for v10 that could hold up with traffic (55km/h) and still be light and with form factor to public transport. I am not sure if v12 isnt way too much speed and battery for a 16 inch - making it dangerous. Not sure if it still fits into the commuter category. With 2.3 A charger you have good battery that you just cant charge in a reasonable time.
The Nikola+ could match your requirements, it's lighter than the V12 and can hold 55 kph on higher state of charge. I would still pick the V12 any day over a Nikola+ tho, for better build quality, lights, more ergonomic shape, a larger safety buffer at your 55 kph target. (105 kph free spin on the V12 vs 77kph on the Nikola+) Even if the stock charger is a bit slower the V12 will accept much faster charging (10A vs 5A) When it will be readily available is uncertain tho, the Nikola+ is.
@@supercurioTube makes sense but due to things that GW does regarding QC and safety - basically putting middle finger to customers when they have a problem that goes with QC. I wouldnt consider this brand. I had my eye also on KS 16x. Guess I would have to go to shop and try them.
Hello I have drive. My v5f for over 1k miles and need a upgrade I am 100 lbs and would say I am very conforitable on a wheel and very skilled I don’t want to spend over 1.3k can you list some of the best options I am looking to go around 23-25 mph
For that price and that speed, I would recommend a Gotway MCM5 V2 if you are buying new. I use that as my second wheel and it is a beast. At 20 to 22 mph on normal terrain I get about 15 or 16 miles range and there is a ton of headroom at those speeds on that wheel. I have logged 31 mph on it on EUC World, though I wouldn't recommend it. Specs say it tops at 28, but either way if you target the low to mid 20's it is safe and stable on the 2.5" tire. It is the only 14" wheel that feels like a 16" in ride quality and stability while performing better than most wheels that cost hundreds more.
I’m in Indiana USA I’m wondering if they ship to USA I’m looking at several wheels on erides they are the only place I can find them in stock thanks in advance
Gotway Rs19 HT, if waterproofing it yourself isn't a dealbreaker. I don't like the inner mechanics of the InMotion wheels.. it is a nightmare once something breaks or you have to change the tire.
What’s your opinion on Hsiang not wearing a full-face or elbow pads in his videos? I’ve seen a lot of people upset by the fact that he doesn’t practice most “regular” EUC protection methods, and was wondering what you thought about it. Great video, Adam!
I don’t encourage riding without gear. I think if you care about your teeth and head, then you wear a full face. Same thing applies to the rest of gear
