On the outside of the shoe it has a little mark on the inner side of the heel Anyone know what that is for. Looks like a little square with a slice at the bottom? I have just purchased the mont blanc version of these. So comfy
thanks Mike, glad you liked it. No experience of wide fit in Hoka to be honest. Guess it depends where you need the width or space, do you have a high volume foot or is it simply wider across the toes. These shoes seem to be broader across the mid to forefoot.
@@TheRunningShoeGuru I’m a UK 10.5 4 1/4” wide foot. Always get hot spots and blisters on edge of the ball of my foot, just below the big toe. Not sure if it’s the width or the way I run 🤔
I was lucky enough to get to try a pair for the last week or so, hence the video. Think you can pre-order now for delivery in about 2 weeks? If you run trails and ultra and like the brand, the best shoe they've done yet!!
I love the brand and have a few other pairs of their shoes and really enjoy them. The graphene grip is amazing and this winter in the snow over here in the northern US the graphene grip outsole has become my favorite outside. I love the idea of some Max cushioning in this shoe. I think I will preorder a pair. Do you think it’s a trail shoe of the year contender?
To be honest haven't tried the Peg Trail but don't see why it wouldn't work, feels soft and for everyday use you have the durability of the Graphene foam - so should last longer than a Peg!!
“Most cushioned and most responsive Inov-8 shoe to date” That doesn’t even make sense. It’s obviously their most cushioned shoe, and it seems just as obvious that it can’t possibly be their “most responsive” shoe the way I understand that term. Can you clarify what you mean by “responsive”?
First up, thanks for watching. I ‘kind off’ understand what you are asking. Will try to explain. First up, it’s not obvious that it’s their most cushioned shoe (assume you simply mean by the stack height?) - if this ‘stack’ was made of, let’s say, stone, it could be 50mm thick but lack cushioning. But yes, it is their most cushioned. The material is also very resilient, it returns to it’s original shape quick/better - hence the ‘springy’ qualities and ‘responsiveness. Some people think that a minimalist shoe has to be most responsive? But it that case iit’s simply the closer connection to the ground, hence the foot is responding better/differently. The shoe doesn’t provide any response or ‘spring’. Hope that helps.
