Some of the stitched Newcastle badges on the old gear used to deform after going in the washing machine. I much preferred the patch badge that was then stitched on by Puma. The only bit of kit I really liked that was out today was the Goalie green and yellow shorts.
I reckon the blue "Newcastle United" bit at the bottom of the badge is mint. Sleeves aside, it's a little signal of colour on a damn good looking strip. It catches the eye and says NEWCASTLE UNITED I prefer it to a totally black and white badge. Will wait their arrival down here in NZ.
Solid 8/10. The collar and puma style stuck on badge let it down, but the authentic kits badge is like an updated asics kit badge. I live down in Brighton and ordered the Auth kit straight away. Be interesting to see if it's in JD Sports down here this weekend.
Ordered from the website earlier today... seamless and easy so far. We'll see how long before it arrives to the USA. I ordered the home jersey (AG10), one of the New Era hats, and the black 1/4 zip.
The authentic kits badge is a printed 3D foam badge where as the replica kits badge is a embroidered patch then stitched onto the shirt, both look good imo
It’s OK…I think it needed some colour. It was the pop of Brown Ale colour that made the ‘95-97 shirts so special. Adidas design team haven’t bust a gut producing it. Waiting for the away kit.
Anybody have any info on the sizing compared to Castore/Puma? I wore XL in Castore but all of my old Adidas shirts are large. I would appreciate any info as I'll be ordering online.

You can tell that Adidas are trying to vribg the glory days back. To be honest, I think that the front of the hone strip looks so identical to the strip we had from 2001-2003 with the great Sir Bobby Robson.

Exactly on the video last night it looked like it was transfer for club crest but that’s the players shirt which is still bad . I went to JD didn’t even bother buying it. So disappointed with the quality and the patch for the crest I was a bit pissed off on way home in car
Looks like the 80 you have the club crest on a patch which is stitched (unfortunately not embroided badge). The expensive one looks like a heat transfer crest
Shame about the stick on puma style club crest, makes it look like a cheap Turkish knock off. For 80 quid, this should be blowing us away but it’s bang average. Club badge needs to be embroidered on
The stuff looks a bit meh 2bh, controversial opinion I actually think Castore designed some decent gear and I never had any bother with the quality, obviously it's good for the club now to be under the adidas umbrella which is much more profitable.
I've been supporting Newcastle for over 60 years and can not understand this hysteria. Queing all night to buy a shirt that is very slightly different from the previous one. It's just a shirt.
Such a lazy design. Someone said it was a template? The ‘trefoil’ top we got a glimpse of on the launch video was a thing of beauty. Could that not have been the shirt?
And people say they can’t afford to live. Yet pay well over the odds for a £5 shirt. Love the way Ells(?) laughs at fools spending well over the top money, thick end of £75. Cost about a tenner to make.
I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that the same people who say they can't make ends meet are in the queue here. You're presumably aware that some people are better off than others?

JD had a tiny selection, no white kits, far fewer sizes, the printing isn’t via the proper club shop machines and no £5 for charity. If you are prepared to wait, the club shop was better.

Not a fan of iron on logos. Much better everything embroided. Love older tops where even the sponser wasn't an iron on. When your paying that much you want some quality not iron ons
