That image for Starflash is Cursed but Makes sense. I recognize Starflash as the Player that has Defined Jess as "Potential Top Tier 4 Fog Commander". I am impressed at just how much value one can get in fog by Base Skipping and Pumping out Tanks like no Tomorrow in the Early game. You still need Infantry for scouting/Capturing purposes, but It is a bit of a shame to not be able to use them for offense purposes. Max is one of those COs who is defined for being Tier 2. I can't tell if he is stronger in fog or not but you can always rely on them using Only Tanks. Makes Sence Starflash loves Max Eagle is a CO that I think is Weaker in Fog, because not being able to plan out Lightning Strikes as well is a huge detriment. Still strong but Max Anti-Air Wreck his B-Copters unlike every other CO without firepower.
Map control and space are key concepts. It's a resource just like money, power meter and unit count are. When Starflash was playing defensive, he was getting more money/units, but was giving up map control.
Hey @Deejus Amazing content as always, looking forward for your deep insight into AW meta. I've found your channel via Mangs videos. I have a tiny bit of remark towards your analysis of these battles - it's rather hard to track on these speeds. I've played a lot of AW and AW2 and also watched quite a lot of AW by web battle reports. Yours are very, very insightful, but maybe possible slow done things just a bit for us filthy casuals to catch up. Man it's too fast! Thanks and awaiting more of your amazing content!
@@DeejusProductions I think it's more-so that some of us might enjoy listening to your analytical approach versus the "sports broadcaster" type commentary, at least in my opinion. I bet it's definitely more time consuming for you but really value your opinions related to decisions that high level players are making that depend on the map design/CO choice/etc...this is something I have an issue with. In the "Rainy" map I still haven't figured out the best approach and have lost 3 games in a row on it. I should probably be doing my own analysis but you save me some time in the long run usually ;) keep up the good work my guy.
A tiger that is as small as a mouse would be a small-large cat whilst a housecat the size of an elephant would be a large-small cat... something like that
My fog rating is stonks since I started listening to the gospel of Deejus. Still have trouble knowing where and when to be aggressive with early recons.
I think the name refers to the cheetah. The cat family tree is split into two branches: the minor cats and the major cats. The minor cats are the adorable, purry psychotic killer furballs we all know and love (partly because they're adorable and sometimes very friendly, partly because of their symbiosis with toxoplasma gondii.) The major cats are big cats like the tiger, lion and panther - big, no purring, more traditional predators. Despite being quite large, cheetahs come from the minor cat side of the family tree, as evidenced e.g. by the fact that they purr. So in a sense, you could say that *the cheetah is a large small cat.*
a large small cat... o so its a fat cat that is not very big compared the usual size of house cats or something... makes sense to me... hes just a short, fat, furry maybe that plays advance wars? lol
