I believe that Magnus would not hold up, don't get me wrong, he still is a beast, but he doesn't climb that much anymore

Maskup is good. Costco also has good athletic masks.

Due to the primary energy systems used in bouldering (anerobic, both alactic and lactic) you should not see large performance changes when wearing a mask. Recovery may take a bit longer between attempts and your route climbing may suffer a bit, but if anything it will just increase your aerobic capacity for when masks are no longer needed.

​@@brendan.perdue I've been climbing both inside w mask an outside with no mask since may and i personally don't notice a huge difference. if everyone wheres one, less chance of it spreading, gyms stay open longer. u just get used to it.

I'm all for wearing masks where it makes sense, i.e. where it's not possible to keep proper distance from other people. Keeping proper distance, however, is very often very possible. This gym seems pretty empty and Louis was never climbing anywhere near other people. Could have easily done without mask IMO. (Seems like showing that you're a good mask wearer is becoming a thing for 'celebrities' in all sports and other areas.) The problem with not trying to keep the mask wearing to a (necessary) minimum, or with people not showing any aversion to masks, is that it might become "the law" even in the most ridiculous situations. You can actually already see people happily wearing their masks in the most ridiculous situations (like walking their dogs on an empty street in the middle of nature with no one else around for miles! or while driving alone in their cars! wtf?), and I think they should not be celebrated but educated about how stupid and maybe even unhealthy that is. For me I'm a bit sceptical about controling everything with rules and regulations, instead of informing people and then letting them use their brains. That being said, everybody can decide for themselves at least in some situations (at least for now, thank God), and maybe Louis has his reasons...
