As a side note, I got the "On the Edge of Madness" Achievement accidently. Where you have to reach 95 doom, and don't hit 100 doom within the next 20 years 🤣
Yeah I got that through switching to Totemist, you can just switch up religion when you hit 95 doom and I suppose the conditions are still there so 20 years later so it triggers.
@@SnowCones101 It's kinda misleading. You only need to hit 95 doom once and then you can go back below. You just can't hit 100 for 20 years after you've been at 95 for a month. It's actually a pretty easy achievement.
@@bushit123456 The negative about starting as aztecs or any other nations in mexico and peru/bolivia is the religious reforms, switiching to animist removes this completely
They still didn't fix converting to Animism making you no longer primitive? Wow. And not needing 50% of your dev to be animist too... A fun fact about American Frontiers: despite what the description says, it is NOT limited to the Americas (though it won't work with colonies; they have to finish first). Colonize Siberia before Russia gets to it! (Another benefit of going west: you can form Japan and take over EoC)
Small little trick for better assaults split up all units in 1k blobs and then select all and consolidate hotkey during the assault, that way their morale stays higher which grants faster assault with less bodies to the grinder. Very useful early game in these situations with low manpower or if you wanna min/max.
This guy pumping out eu4 exploits content like crazy! I know it's just daily, and others do too, but those usually are A-Z or so, no disrespect to them, but coming up with these each day :0
You're right that Mayan is the best religion with its great bonuses. I don't like to play there so I've force converted into it with Ryukyu and Jolof before to get it out of that area. Plus tag switching to Maya gives you empire rank so you can become Yuan or Qing waaay easier. Right now I'm on a Ryukyu>Maya>Viti>Yuan run and its fun so far. Goal is to spawn global trade as Yuan with new world riches.
I've only played Incas this dlc so is the american frontier always this broken even without converting to Mayan? Like did you convert to Mayan just for fun or was it necessary to getting all of the free colonies?
So if you dont do this, would the aztecs be worth playing? I played the ottomans and the interal power struggle made me quit playing them. Got rid of the jannisaries but couldnt get the other missions complete
So how did you manage to convert to Mayan? When I try to convert via losing a war as Ryukyu it says that I cannot offer things to my opponent if they unconditionally surrender, which they do at 100% warscore.
You have to do it on the very day you get to 100% Warscore - before they press the button to Unconditionally Surrender. That means they're "Utterly Defeated" and so accept anything.
you need to 100% but before they unconditionally surrender. Basically have a diplomat at the ready the moment the last fort falls. Usually best inho if you use an OPM for that. Larger nations with vassals etc you may be stuck at 99% while searching for their last contingent of troops and then they suddenly surrender. With an OPM you tend to have much better control over it.
Wait, so what was giving away all those provinces for? Just so you can get converted back to Nahuatl? And what was the benefit of destroying the temple in the first place? pls explain
The whole second part was just him going Mayan instead of Nahuatl because of the -20% core creation cost you get. Instead of becoming Nahuatl with Cholula Temples you give away enough provinces to be able to declare on a Mayan nation and make them convert you to their faith.
Forcing Religion is 100 warscore, so he had to be small enough to be under 100% warscore to offer to concert to mayan in the peacdeal, and then have the provinces disconnected so e could use the frontier ability to its maximum.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do everything like you do, but I can't click the "punish the invaders" mission. its the one where you can become high american. Because in order to complete this mission I need to own 10 provinces which were previously owned by a nation that has their capital in the old world. So how come you can click this? I'm totally lost.
Tried this on 1.37.1 but can't provoke animist rebels. They stay Guamares rebels even when below 30%. Tried to convert with missionary maintenance 0. Am I missing something?
@@Theplaymaker57 ah thanks that worked. I usually don't do these Animist Shenanigans and other religions you can do it in non-cored provinces. One more thing I noticed one of the missions gives you the ability to basically turn admin mana into gov progress. Since you can basically colonize the rest of the world you have plenty of admin mana to expand infrastructure in Mexico and then reduce it again and rinse and repeat. I guess I should have all gov reforms before 1500 lol And that on top of the high american tech, might be slightly OP after all :D
