It’s fun to think that Austin is representing the voice of the male character, and Tim the female character. And l love Tim’s dynamics in “Let’s Get It On”. 🔥🔥🔥 And that this was a one shot video, is props to everyone involved. Not easy to do. Glad we got to share in your reaction.
There is undoubtedly a LOT to love about Home Free but this video is particularly fabulous--if you notice this one is completely in the round--in ONE camera shot. INCREDIBLE!!!
Reilly and Mackenzie Zamber, the Hound and the Fox, together with videographer/director Jimmy Bates, were the production company Fifgen, who were responsible for most of the band's MVs until a few years ago.. They also played the couple with the baby in Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer (the video for that is a surreal and bizarrely hilarious experience). As you know, they developed a great musical friendship with Adam Chance. Jimmy Bates most recently created and directed the incredible video for Brother, which I can only pray one of your patrons asks for. You really don't want to miss the HF larping team, joined by a real spellcaster in the shape of Adam Rupp.
Yes! Yes! Yes! I’ve been waiting for you to do this one. You’ll love the music, but take a moment to appreciate the video itself. Camera stays in the center and they move around the room. Brilliant! Plus the Hound and Fox are so adorable.🥰
Since Ed Sheerhan was sued by the descendants of the co-writer of Let’s Get On because there was a similar chord progression or something in Thinking Out Loud, it makes the perfect mash-up. I found it incredibly funny that Home Free did the mash-up before the lawsuit. Ed Sheeran won, thank goodness, or everyone would be afraid to write new music. Tim does turn on the sexy in this one!
What you may have missed about the video is that it was one-shot, one-take, no cuts. Well, I'm sure they had to try it multiple times, but this was one full run through. To me that is almost as impressive as the singing.
I never cared for Tenor voices, BUT Austin and Mitch ,from PTX, really have changed my opinion, they have won me over. I still prefer a bass voice, especially Tim's, and when he comes in on "lets get it on" with that deep note and then the sudden change to a high note growl, WOW. What a dichotomic group of notes. EPIC !!! Thanks again for a great reaction.
These guys are just the best at doing mashup songs. Prefer this over Ed Sheeran's version. Austin does a great job of the song & Tim's bass voice is perfect for the Marvin Gaye song. But he can surprise you with his high notes too. Love Adam's vocal percussion as always. The cute couple in this video are "The Hound & The Fox". You should also check out their music. They have collaborated with different Home Free members.
I don't think Home Free could put out bad music even if they tried. Yet again, they reimagined two songs by vocally stitching them together seamlessly and creatively. Love them more and more as time goes on. Even tho' this is an oldie, its just as remarkable as their newer stuff. Great reaction.
Since I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, I will! The song at the end is “Everything Will Be Okay,” and I would highly recommend you checking it out when you have the chance! I think it’s a highly underrated song of theirs, and it’s an original. Both the song and the video are really wonderful, I love it❤ Great reaction as usual, DJ! :)
Austin and Tim were amazing their vocals outstanding and the backup vocals were fantastic. I love their version these two songs. Your reaction was great and how you said Austin went full chipmunk too funny 😂😂😂😂 I loved everything about this reaction thanks
DJ... You shouldn't be able to put such low notes next to high ones" meaning Tim! Home Free's answer..."We don't use no stinkin rules in this group!"🤣🤪🤣
They did such a good job with this. Tim and Austin with the Solos and Hound and Fox as the Actors and Actress was just PERFECT. I just can't find anything wrong with the whole thing. Grear reaction.
Austin and the chipmunks!!!🤣 they need to do a whole medley now with chipmunk versions! HF I know you troll these reaction accounts, can we please get a chipmunk themed song?!
This was filmed in the same place as the Butt's Medley. This is a favorite video of mine for many different reasons. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
One of my favorites of theirs. Between Austin and Tim killing it, it’s such a good combo. Loved the video too. I’ve seen Tim on St. Andrews Scotland (video by Kim Ball) do a bird sound similar to this - pretty funny on a song in that concert. They can all make wacky sounds. Great reaction DJ!😍🥰
OMG! I love these guys! They are the ultimate professionals, knowing the right moment to come into the song with just the right inflection. DJ, you add so much enjoyment to any reaction.
Don't forget to keep your HF playlist updated because you'll need it eventually to figure out which of their songs you haven't done yet. master list that you use to check them off might be a good idea. 🙂
Now you have to go listen to The Fox + The Hound's music. :) Because as cute as they are, they're even more musically talented. I suggest their cover of "If the World Was Ending."
I believe Chris Rupp used to do some of the low-baritone stuff used to fill in for Tim's bass when Tim took the lead. Same as Chance does now, but not as low.
I really love this one, these two older songs that I remember from earlier in my life, from my parents records. The did such a beautiful job covering, both Tim and Austin, one of my favorites! So beautiful!❤❤🔥🔥 Love your reactions, great song for you and your partner!👏👏👏
Ed Sheeran has been in court for the likeness of theese two songs, I wonder if that is Home Frees fault! 😂 I have seen this video a few times and just realized that it was The Hound and The Fox in it, better late than never I guess 😂 Love your reactions to HF.❤
A year or two ago the estate of the late Marvin Gaye tried to sue Ed Sheeran for copyright infringement, saying that his song "Thinking Out Loud" was too much like "Let's Get It On". They lost (or Ed Sheeran won, depending on how you look at it). There's a live video of this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qKA7MzGxG1A.html that starts off funny and the performance is sooo good.
DYLAN, CHECK OUT AN ARTIST FROM THE UK. HE IS FROM WALES BUT IN BRIGHTON UK NOW.HIS NAME IS "REN". HE DOES IT ALL. WRITES, TELLS STORIES IN MUSIC FORM. DIRECTS AND PRODUCES HIS VIDEOS, MOST OF THEM ARE LIVE ONE TAKES. RAP RAPS SINGS BEATBOXES, MAKES HIS OWN BEATS, DOES BUSKING WHICH IS PERFORMING ON THE STREET FOR TIPS AND DOES A LOT MORE. AT 17 HE WAS MISDIAGNOSED AND GIVEN MEDICINE HE DIDN'T NEED FOR SOMETHING HE DIDN'T HAVE. AT 27 A DOCTOR IN BELGIUM HAD THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS. AT SOME TIME HE GOT BITTEN BY A TICK WHICH GAVE HIM LYMES. SINCE HE WAS SUFFERING FOR 10 YEARS, IT ALMOST KILLED HIM. HE WAS BED-RIDDEN 23 HOURS A DAY. HE IS NOW 33 AND STILL IN TREATMENT IN CANADA. NOT COMPLETELY CURED YET.
Home Free is really good at doing mashups that sound great together. This song is just as good live, BTW. Here's a link to a live video that's really great quality (I wish I'd taken it), plus there's a bit of a derailment at the beginning. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qKA7MzGxG1A.html
