Thanks for making this video. I had been using Korg Gadget 2 for the first time this year with my iPad Pro. I too felt like I was creating more music than usual! I was nervous about the transition to using it on my iMac but I just bought the software on sale today. I’m looking forward to continuing the fun! Maybe at some point I’ll graduate to Logic Pro. But for now I’ll stick with what is comfortable for me and that’s Gadget 2. I too love your enthusiasm and passion. It definitely shows 😃
There are few things I would love they'd add. 1- Ability to midi learn most of the operations, atleast let us midi assign the tempo knob. I badly wanted this while playing gigs. 2- when we double click clips they start out of time, they start instantly rather than wait till next bar. To state simply, it is not like ableton. This should be changed. But I agree it's a great sounding software n easy to get started with n with the new midi out they expanded its reach.
I have korg gadget for iOS and I love everything about it. But if korg was to add a full sampler with longer sample time, time stretch, and sample slice capabilities that would make it perfect for me
Just got hip to gadget 2...and yes it's awesome. My number one D.A.W. I wish they give us the korg triton app inside gadget, then it would be unstoppable. Thanks For the VID.
Damn, thank you for introducing me to that virtual groovebox. I just downloaded it, so I have not composed anything yet and I think I will stay with my Deluge as my main arranger. However, I was afraid that latency for a keyboard player like me would be too high, but when I reduced the audio buffer to 128 it's almost none, like straight from the analog synth! Dang, this is good!
I must say I love your enthusiasm when you’re playing. May I ask you how you connect your Gadget to the sound interface: do you use a rig or another digital connector?
I use camera kit connection into a usb hub. Just connected ur speakers to ur sound interface & everything else into the usb hub. Works perfectly. I use an Arturia keylab49 & they’ve finally mapped the pads the the drum gadgets 👌🏼. I love it. Just need to try my APC40MK2 with it now I’ll be delighted if they work together
Hey Todd.. Not sure if you mentioned it already but can music be completed, saved, and transferred to a recording studio? I don't know if there's songs out there made with this app.
There has been a few expansion pack releases I liked but overall it's been a slow year for gadget. I was hoping that Triton software released early in the year was going to iOS but it didn't. I do hope they add that later. I'm sure a new wave of Gadgets and a update is on the way. I imagine this year has slowed down most working sectors too because of global situation
Just purchased akai mpk 249 and was wondering how to map the transport to korg gadget ? Do i have to turn off native controls in settings and then midi learn the akai . . . ? Thank you -- M.P. .
