@@stefanialupu5734 Stefania don't take this as an attack but it's probably because you're used to eating fried bugs and mice. Otherwise it is impossible for a normal eater not to like Turkish food.
The white base (bone broth , flour ...) is same for all, they add offal before service. Then we add vinegar and raw garlic (waits in salty water-olive oil for instant usage). Preffered by hangovers 🙂
I absolutely love all your vids but I’ve noticed you always have an elastic band somewhere on your hand/wrist? Is it an anxiety thing or??? Anyway great video as always 💚
Hey nice observation skills! Here's the story: We use a GoPro on a small tripob most the time. The 3 legs of the tripod bounce off each other and make noise when walking and filming, so we put an elastic band on them. However, when we sit and eat, we need to use the tripod so I just put the elastic around my hand or fingers. I tend to fidget with everything I can, whenever I can :) Anyway, thanks for watching
Just subscribed! You two are super cute and love your food shots. Love that you toured Pakistan - the food is quite arguably the best thing in the world! Looking forward to viewing all your other videos too.
Galatasaray is best of Turkey, and we are little bit sad for that😮 whenever you watch the Galatasaray match in the stadium, then we will follow you. Galatasaray has 38 million fans in this country. and this is very important😢 ❤️🧡❤️🧡❤️🧡❤️🧡 good bye 😢
I had never thought people outside of Balkan countries would love yogurt sauce. I remember when I bought natural yogurt for the family I was staying with for holiday in England, they had never had natural yogurt in their life, and when they tried their faces went sour complaining it was not sweet. Tip for visitors: For people who like sour or chilli, ask for more lemon and also ask for chilli flakes. I can't believe Steve finished that soup considering how he could get turned off with the sound of some dishes.
Balkan Foods most comes from Türkiye 500 years was the Turks Ottomans in Balkan and Turkish influence is Big in Balkan.Turkish Yogurt is the Best yogurt name is a original turkish name and yogurt comes from the Turks Thousand years old.
Yogurt was introduced to Balkans and westerners in general by Turks (hence why you call it yogurt, it's a Turkish word), also they say it's debatable but Yogurt is in every Turkic country under the name "yoğurt" after all.
Hey guys :D u put too much vinegar and garlic in your soup. Normally we don't put that much like that :D It makes it taste bad. ''Kellepaça'' headsoup inside have cheeks, tongue, headmeet, feet, and contains plenty of collagen. That picks soups very healthy soups are in the world top tier ranking among foods. It has an immediate healing feature, especially for bone fractures and when we are sick in the winter months.
I just realized your T-shirt 6:10 " jingle bells, durian smells, cendol all the way" 😎 Love from Malaysia. Really enjoy Turkish vlog this time. Can't get enough of the foods 🤗
Your guesses are very good. Kelle paca, specially iskembe soup is good for hangover. (Not everyone's taste, but very healthy- You found a good place to try) That chocolate dessert is IZMIR Bombası.(right, like a bomb)
Street food and Locantasare inexpensive, traditional Turkish food can be found in many locations. Youd do not need to spend FORTUNE TO HAVE REALLY LOVELY FOOD.
Tripe is a no no for most Food phobia ppl, but hats of to Steve for trying it. I personally love it fried, with garlic and crushed chili, BOMB Baci is definitely not a public food
Iskembe soup is krayzey 😂 a bit of vingegar(sirke)a bit of Olive oil. a bit of sundried hot chili pepper flakes (pulbiber) and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and then a bit of salt and pepper and then you are ready to eat 😂 But is it tasty ? Yes yes it is , cok guzel .
I'm currently in Istanbul.. this city is chaotic but in a good way. And it's already one of my favorite cities i visited. And the ferries here are the most relaxing public transport option.
@michelg2257 nice to hear this as I will also visiting soon. Was curious if It's possible to pay with usd or euro at the street merchents or at some shops, instead of TL. I've heard that some actually prefer it. Thank you.
The best part of travelling is trying all the food which can be found in the country. Great and good experience indeed. Very interesting food vlog and thanks for posting, Steve lvana ❤️😍
I always try the soup first and only after that I add the extras. You may like before the extras 🙂. I have to eat after every food video that you make 😅. Good video, nice looking food!
İt is not a finger food and it is eastern style yaprak sarma and there is western style yaprak sarma and pasta that you eat they call Manti please do not change the name of foods enjoy them
That Northern Pakistani food looks sooo yummmm. You're right, similar to Gözleme. By the way, Steve with that traditional cap and beard & moustache looks like Taliban 😂😂😂😂
You make the mistake of trying to eat many foods and desserts by dipping them in yogurt or other sauces, instead of drinking tea to soften them in your mouth. That way you cannot fully appreciate the original taste of some foods. But tea does not harm the original taste of those foods. Don't skip the tea.
2:57 Look kinda similar like Martabak, only thinner. 3:08 It's reminded me of Pelmeni(Russian dumpling). They also covered in yogurt, sour cream or mayonnaise. 5:10 Missed that curly mustache of yours, Steve. Look so 19th century-ish.😄 Got plan to grow them again?
@@emre05x yogurt or sour cream which is like similar to Labneh. I've never seen anyone having Pelmeni with mayonnaise. Maybe someone did it because couldn't find no yogurt or sour cream, or for fun.
03:35 MANTI is actually Crimean food. It was brought to Turkey by the Crimean immigrants in the late 1800s. It's half turkic half mongolic food. The original name is "Crimean Kaşık Börek". Btw, if you put a little bit of garlic sauce on it, it becomes more tasty.
03:20 not ravioli, that food Turkish mantı. They even never eat ravioli and give that name. In fact, they never eat ravioli and give it this name. I get annoyed with opportunistic tradesmen who try to lose their existence in order to market their products more easily. In any event, such people are the first to sell their country. Maybe you may be thinking what is the big deal, but these lands have always been hot throughout history. If you forget who you are, You will pay the price very painfully. No one should lose their culture. nowadays a shop uses the name ravioli and its sales may increase. Where does our food culture go when all-seeing mantı restaurants do the same things? I saw you text mantı too but I just text comment :)
You eating mantı together with spinach börek is very similiar to my dad eating pasta with bread.. Also one more thing maybe when you guyss want to quickly need to understand what is written on somewhere you can use lens from google and it translate immideatly on the cam. And you are right lol bomba is bomb mind blowing right ? xD
Too funny - I'm currently staying in Kadiköy for 2 months. I was watching your video and got hungry so I paused it, went for dinner, came back and then you were on the same street I was! I'd stopped and laughed about the sheep heads too!
