Michael. Truly one of your best vlogs. I enjoyed that and felt the love from that process. My words would have been too cuss all the way. 🤭 Great job..... I'm enjoying learning some stuff from you, beyond my usual approach. 👏👏👏
Looking great, Michael! Can’t wait to see the rear bumper mounted between those taillights. I liked the jazzy music in the last sequence; picked by a drummer, right?
Recently discovered this channel! Great stuff!! I dream of owning a 911 one day and most likely i will end up restoring a beat up one, so that i can afford it. Your channel is very inspiring and makes a dream seem possible.
Man it feels like the finish line. I‘m so looking forward to primer. One of the best mods in my opinion is the rail delete, makes the body so much cleaner! Are decided on the green color of the rendering or do you keep it a secret until it’s painted?
Michael I recall you broke one of those earlier. Is is worth covering those with epoxy resin or polyester resin to make these more robust. That way the parts you have are then reinforced and then better to handle the daily wear and tear. They look super cool.
Key word in this video is "block sanding", something for which a machine can't substitute. Your arm is going to get real tired, but keep at it because the effort will definitely show up in the finished paint.
Loving this Mike, lights look amazing and I can feel that finish line coming on for the build! Have you got any plans for protecting the lights/light cavity from water?
Tell me more about this "measuring tape" of which you speak.. 🤔 Love the lights - I was wondering how they would work for maintenance - it's very nice that you managed to make the brackets removable from the inside.
Hi Michael, love what you’ve done with the lights. Please take this as constructive criticism. I don’t like the slight air gap you can see round the edge of the lights and wonder if it would look better if you had a thin rubber seal round the edge of the hole in the body. It would clean up that line and also seal out any crud. The join could be at the bottom and therefore be effectively invisible. Just a suggestion that I think would finish them off perfectly
That or they could have had a bit of a return so they don't look thin. The seal you and someone else mentioned will do that job now that the metalwork is complete. Rolling an edge on a small opening is nigh impossible for us guys in a home shop. Really they would have had to be welded. Not fun. Fortunately a u-shaped trim piece is common and easy to source.
Getting there. Looks awesome. One point that makes me smile every time younsay it. LaurenTiele should be pronounced LaurenTeeler as Tiele is the German word for part, as in car parts. Presumably LaurenTiele pronounce their own company name incorrectly?
It just goes to the wheel well so there’s no “ingress“, but if I can figure out how to get a custom gasket made I will. Otherwise I’m not too worried about it.
Best whishes from Germany. Please take a Look at our meeting at Mai 1 in Dinslaken. If you want, your are welcome to these big porsche event in europe. Michael
