I love the way Dan marches up to the mic to start singing. You know it is gonna to be powerful and Garrett’s guitar solo at the beginning is amazing. Dan is a great performer. I am not extensively musically trained, but do have some knowledge of music, so your take on this is so different than others who do reaction videos. Thanks for the very interesting and informative reaction! I love to listen to people who know more than I do about different aspects of these videos. Dan used to do all the mixing and mastering himself, but lately he's been able to afford to send his things out for mastering. He chose Tony Lindgren very intentionally. I'm glad you approve! I think the whole thing is just superlative - the most gorgeous, versatile, and powerful voice on the planet, lots of smiles, tons of energy (I thought that Dan was going to pop out of his skin at a few points), fabulous guitar work by Garrett, and not really a cover but a total reimagining while keeping the core of the original. Kudos to Dan and Gabriel for the epic arrangement. I hope to see more Dan on your channel in the future. Thanks!

Great reaction! First time listener! This cover by Dan is awesome. So different from what one would expect because we are thinking about Celine's version, which was iconic also. For a lot of people, the shock value reminds me, a little of Dan's "Amazing Grace" or "O Holy Night" etc because the songs are so very surprisingly unexpected as we are shocked at how good they are, even compared to the originals.... sometimes better, sometimes at least as good. Dan has the wonderful ability to do this time after time!

You are right about the fine details but you missed the heavenly choir that came🎉 in for that nanosecond. Two dynamo’s, I love covers that match or blow away the original, I.e., Disturbed’s sound of silence as well as his version of Amazing Grace, transformed a great hymn to an epic anthem.
