Loved the video. Can understand that in New York you couldn't get half the luxury for the price, but...but. Lived in Prague, in the city center, a pretty luxurious 3 bedroom apartment for some 1.200 dollars, electricity, water, gas and a parking lot included. Can't really get over the pricing.

Yes, Prague offers amazing value-- I see it when I'm researching hotel and airbnb accommodation. The decor may be horribly outdated in a great many places but the spaciousness and terrific locations for some of these properties are unbeatable. This video is kind of bittersweet for me... why? 1. It's not the first on the channel, but it is in my price range at my current salary (it would take less than a third, I won't say EXACTLY how much though) so it's realistic for me. 2. It's in Roppongi which is in my opinion the nicest of what I like to call the quadfector of Tokyo (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara and Roppongi). 3. It's the first of the places you've featured in my price range that I could actually see myself enjoying living in. 4. The biggest one... I'm not ready to move to Japan tomorrow so I can grab it 😂😂😂 well if it's still for rent in a couple years we can go check it out. @tomasgogashvily5350
@tomasgogashvily5350 Год назад
@@Im-fq1mn I officially downgraded your IQ to 20 due to lack of intelligence (my previous post answer was apparently deleted by RU-vid). According to your Statistics, Japan still takes the top in suicide rates compared to the US, 17.9 to 13.9 per 100 000. Let's say, your cosmic idiocy further lacks intelligence, then let me elaborate for you... In United States, the suicide rates are mostly attributed to economic impact which is limited to States that has high unemployment rate, high drug usage, alcoholic usage, etc... In Japan, however, it's all health issues. No. Not actual health issues, but psychological. Japanese overwork on average 20-80% more than average American, with lack of space, tiny apartments, all round concrete (no greenery), and lack of social communication leads to suicide. It's also one of the major cause why Japanese young population do not want children. You can say that suicides in Japan are similar to South Korea, which also has same issues, but not critical, as Koreans try not to do more than 12 hour work time. Also, i forgot to mention, the life style of Japanese (which is just overwork depression), is the main cause for anime popularity, as a means to escape reality.

I grew up in this neighborhood, I knew I would be gentrified 30 years ago. It was fun living there but also depressing knowing my eventual fate. I now make enough to afford this rent 10 times over but it feels wasteful spending this much on rent.

He said 450k yen a month at current conversion rate that's actually down to 3k instead of 4.2k lol. That's something interesting if you make USD in Japan your income techniquely grew a lot in last few years lol.

Wow, that's more space for the money that I thought about Tokyo. If only it wasn't so high above the ground. Is there a significant floor-to-floor difference in rates? Do you have to pay extra for the convenience of the bottom floor, or extra for the view from the top?

Generally the higher the floor, the more it is, unless there's no elevator.
