You'd have to. Which is N/A kuz you'll never even come close to having anywhere near that amount of money. Some people, however, would like it as is. Other people do have different taste to you, you know..
Wow to be able to only need 2 bedrooms in that home with what looks like a large family of potential visitors from the photos says a lot about the family’s wealth, huge and impressive space for London
Indeed. It was the home of a very influential billionaire investment banker who passed away three years ago. His family has extensive properties around the world and perhaps didn't see the need to keep a leasehold house in Eaton Square.
Each to their own. I think if you hadn't collected the pieces around the house or been involved in choosing the internal decor you would find this very hard to live with on a day-to-day basis.
Gobsmacked is the word I'm looking for, I guess. Amy did a phenomenal job for keeping a straight face. I would be hysterical. How would somebody end up with a decor like this is beyond me. I think you would get your money back if you organised tours and charged a tenner per visitor! Well, it may take 100 years
Nah, it's owned by either European or an American..didn't you notice a pic of the lady of the house with Michelle Obama? As for ppl from the ME, well, one of the first things they look for is a lift..as they have huge families with older members. But this is configured as a 2 bed house, so definitely not someone from the ME or even anywhere in the East.
I’m not disappointed by the interior. Love this! There must be so much of the owner’s history in this home, unlike houses that the wealthy only buy to park as an asset.
This is NOT antique... everything is just a little "off", a little TOO modern, in proportion. Still inspite of being overdone, it has a certain charm...
Host describes the outdoor terrace as a “sun trap”… impossible considering it is a north facing garden with no exposure to sun at all on the rear elevation… 🤷🏻♂️
The 1800s Aristocratic interior actually looks pretty nice in some parts of the house. I'd say the house is worth 10 million at most which means the rest 30 million value is for the Location, Location, Location 🤑🤑🤑
Looks like it is designed for Indian or Chinese, very gaudy. Proof money doesn't buy taste, lots of marble that doesn't flow well with other colours. Only the library looks half decent but even that needs ceiling redesigned.
Love the location and the phenomenal size of the house - but the decor and interior is vulgar and tacky. I am sure it is very very expensive but personal preference is minimalist and neutral colours.
AMY great job as always on the tours that you do, sorry this certainly is way too ornate for my liking, do like the room sizes and the bones of the structure, could use a complete remodel, Besides contemporary one of my main styles is 1930's ART DECO this would like stunning in that style, like the stone pillars in the living room and the skylights though!! And again you are paying for the premier location and size of the actual property!! GREAT SEEING THAT LOVELY SMILE WHEN YOU SAT DOWN ON THE SOFA, KEEP UP WITH THE GREAT TOURS AMY!!😀💯👍
The up keep of the house will be almost an impossible task, based on the complexity of decor, such as chandeliers & wall clock with unusual cutouts & many more.
Looks like it was styled by someone born in 1850. Never seen such an expensive house with such ugly decor. Seems like somewhere you would expect someone like Jacob Reese Mogg to live. 40 mil for what is essentially a terraced house is also a bit of a joke.
Dear The Luxury Home Show! I really like your videos! But please for the love of god, can you guys use less of the slow mo effect, specially when the presenter on the screen. Its often looks stupid then awesome .
Just removing every piece of furniture along with the pictures & portraits would make a dramatic change for the better. It's would make a remarkably beautiful home with just a bit of reimagining after that.
It seems more a museum than a home. Personally I could never feel at home in a place like that. Fullfilling a house of marble doesn't means good taste!! 👎🏻
I like it for thst reason tbh Often I've gone to castles and felt like I'd love to live there, not changing any of the decor lol. Past life vibes, maybe 🤣
Eaton square in Belgravia?! Has this got something to do with that good looking Duke Westminster? Also I've been up for a day and I'm so tired my eyes saw the price as 40k. I narrowed my eyes thinking there must have been some sort of hardcore haunting going on there for it to be that price, then I realised I was just exhausted.
Imagine spending 40m for a property that doesn't have an indoor swimming pool., off street parking, cinema room and barely a garden. The place looks cluttered and dated plus your wall to wall with your neighbours!
I would transform some of the room into guest rooms. But generally I like the vibe of the interior, taking me back to Victorian age. I just can't believe the toilet on the ground floor would look like that.
I know that you think bigger and more expensive is better but i subscribed while you were Mat and Summer and touring more down to earth places, which was really refreshing after watching american mansions all the time.
It’s surprising that local English people in the comments see this kind of interior design as old and outdated while as a foreigner it well depicts the old Great Britain feel which is fancy and classic and very much worth the price
Thankfully a decor that reflects the period of the house. Not done perfectly by any means but at least the house has not been destroyed and a soulless ugly modern interior imposed which is so often the case.
I understand the house was done to complement the era, however I would get a headache living here. It’s like a Christmas tree with way too much tinsel. Would have been good to show the kitchen.
Lovely property. I just LOVE It ❤️....of course I would change its decoration.....a little bit. The property is amazing ! Perfect location !!!! 🇬🇧 #Belgravia
Don’t think I’ve seen anything as hideous as the ground floor, albeit it did get better on the higher floors. Amy has a good presenting style but a couple of things. A “food lift” is a called a dumb waiter’ and the 101 Dalmatian bathroom two toilets, one was a bidet
Gave it another go and it makes me want to clean. Absolutely hate it but I love to clean so I would have some fun ripping appart every decoration, furniture etc. Put i on fire outside then get rid of this ugly profanity of marble.
Dear god. The interior? Inspired by Trump Tower (circa 1985) and sloppily curated by a member of the Saudi “royal” family, it is a perfect example of what a Russian oligarch believes personifies wealth. Memo to marketing company: Russian oligarchs are about as popular as failed Tory politicians these days. I would strongly advise a revised strategy.
