In this video, I cross paths with a Mayan Village and I get to see and experience exactly how these people live on a day to day basis. These people utilize their jungle environment to the full extent by building their hut houses with the surrounding trees and leaves. The Mayans grow a wide variety of crops, including corn (maize), pumpkins, bananas, habanero’s, cilantro, etc, and have a natural water source. These Mayans also have handmade their own houses, clothes, hammocks, tortillas, bowls, etc.

So cool. Thanks. I am Native American from USA. We’ve been in Playa Del Carmen for several months. Really want to visit the Mayan community. I do believe they only eat meat once in awhile. They have no refrig to keep the meat. I’ve traveled Southeast Asia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan and Philippines staying months at time. I visited Bali where they only eat meat on occasion too like the Mayans.

He said for me it's hard to speak in Spanish, here we only speak in Mayan and English, wow amazing how the Spanish European did not conquer that part of their culture.

This is so cool! I want to try this, with my son and my husband! It’ll be interesting, we’re Mexican and speak Spanish which is clearly of no use here! How long were you there?
