As a resident of Charlotte and California, the problem with these homes is the LIMITED number of prospective buyers. In S. California many homes like this sit vacant as the cost to maintain homes of this size REQUIRE a substantial recurring cost and have high property tax values. While beautiful, one has to ask who in the region/country is seeking a property of this scale in the Charlotte, NC area where land is plentiful?

She would be very surprised. These homes do not linger on the market very long, especially in certain parts of Charlotte.

Used to clean houses like this in the Atlanta area, I was shocked at how these people live, some just lazy and nasty, most very respectful and clean nice people,

4 to 6 Million…😂 I live in West Wales and live on 340 acres with Two stone barns , Stables for 22 horses , Three stone built Cottage,s all 2 bedrooms, Main house is 6 beds , Then there’s the Farm buildings and out buildings. Just a two minute walk to a cove with a private beach… Its Brilliant we got Deer , Foxs, All kinds of wildlife. Bought it 6 months ago for £2.345,000 pounds… Tax every year is Band B £1800. A year. Oh and your definition of Castle is way off 😂 Also the Website doesn’t allow people from outside the USA to view its site. So your missing out on a Huge amount of buyers from every-other countries in the world,

I used to live in that part of the country and now live out west. Funny to see the more "traditional" style of home. Out here it is mostly desert modern. Seems a bit dated from an architectural stand point.

A lot of the Newer Ones are Much more modern- More Farm house Style . There are not a lot of modern contemporary homes though.A lot of European style homes , Thanks for stopping by !

@1:14 an outhouse ..you'd thinking paying that much for a super large home and all those property taxes you could at least have indoor plumbing and not have to use an outhouse 🤭

I am a multi-millionaire and live in a 750sq ft condo….maybe that’s why I am wealthy! Wow, who are these folks trying to impress? Unless of course you have a bunch of kids!..Big houses always make me think the folks inside are lonely because it’s so easy to get away from each other.

Many of the homes have kids. Some homes have multiple families culturally. And some people have so much money that spending a certain amount on a house is insignificant :-) thank you for stopping by and yes, it’s true . Those who live under their means usually are able to accumulate wealth!

Climate change and rising sea levels will make properties in low lying areas and coastal areas impossible to insure. Banks will be reluctant to give a mortgage for 15 or 30 years because the property may be under water. Selling properties to average buyers will become impossible in the future as banks and mortgage companies stop making loans for these properties. NC is a high risk state for insurance and extreme weather like hurricanes. People will have to self insure and take the risk of loss. Condo associations are losing their insurance and if they find a new higher cost policy they will be passing on the higher costs to association members. Flooded cars from hurricanes were filling the salvage lots. Insurance companies will raise rates and pass on the costs and risks to policy holders next year.

I have Lived in Coastal NC all my life. We have more high water occasions than 20 years ago, and hurricanes have always been a fact of life. And yes, insurance keeps going up as do our property taxes. I won’t live anywhere else.

Nice, but no civilization at all, it’s much nicer to live in a world class capital, with museums, excellent restaurants, and shops within walking distance, but then, the USA is totally car centric, except for NYC and Chicago, that’s why I became an expat and live in a civilized country. Nice video, hope you sell some homes…👆

Gated community are overrated and boring the concept doesn’t make sense to me, unnecessary security. I live in a gated apartment, waste of money.

Are you actually comparing a gated community to an apartment complex. Lol. My aunt lived in a gated community and it was secure, cameras everywhere and the neighbors looked out for each other. I lived in a gated apartment complex once. The neighbors were shitty, no one looked out for one another. Strangers would tailgate to get inside the complex. Cars broken into etc. No comparison to a gated home community. Especially a luxury gated community. Cops and public officials know who their bread and butter constituents are and go extra hard to make sure they're protected.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🏘️

It depends on security cameras and the cohesiveness of the residents. I live in a 40-home gated community with no guard, and all the residents are vigilant. I feel much more secure than the alternative.
