DeBarge brothers really kept us light-skinned Brothers relevant for many years thanks for the beautiful music it's sad to hear how things when down with them the abuse the drug addiction this family has a true Living testament Unfortunately they lost their brother to this non-discriminatory disease prayerfully the most high continue to watch over this family and hopefully we'll hear some music from them soon

I agree, unfortunately, it is so much he has to do to get there that may not agree with him spiritually. I have read that Charlie and many others have sold their souls for fame and fortune. I would like for El to get big, but not at a price that he may regret.

El did not have time to call HER and chat. We know what her problem was. She was saying he was more guarded than he use to be. So in other words she wants more than a "friendship". El put some clarification on it when he said he is NOT guarded with his CHILDREN. So SHE wants more attention from him for HERSELF. He was not guarded when she became pregnant with his twin boys. I do not blame him for being guarded because truth be her problem has to do with more than his sons. She needs to move on and let him have the relationship with his sons and it is not about her as much now. She sounds like that is what she wants.
Ron Fair gives me the impression that he really had no idea of El's R&B 'Legend' status when he says that he doesn't know why all these people were jumping on board to support El. He then says maybe all the good will responses are because certain artists were collaborating on the cd!?! What!?! I hope the response to El's 2010 BET performance opened Ron's eyes. Duh....
El is very handsome and quite talented....but after fathering 12 children (reportedly), I would hope that he will choose to not have anymore. He may earn a certain amount of money from singing and performing, but he is obviously not a rich man....and child support is not cheap!
Apparently some of the children are grown and are quite talented as well...and I'm thinking El has a some connections and will make sure the children that have musical talent will have the same opportunities he has...but yes...child support is pricey....

Robin Haynes You are on the outside looking in. You don't know what she has been through with El. El is a fantasy in your head. She is dealing with the real El who has been a junkie for years. Now I love El the artist and he seems like a really sweet dude, but when you are addicted, you ain't in your right mind and you are not able to function normally. You burn a lot of bridges. You hurt a lot of people. You cant be depended on.
Sounds like you are the thirsty one!! Bet if EL met you, he could do you in. He have been fighting some serious demons, she probably knows that he has to step back, breath slowly, meditate on God, and family. Remember, he is still in that environment, the music industry.

All of this is really beautiful, I mean... really though! Usually, I just look at others resurgence back onto the scene as the usual "Pop Up" again effect. However, when it comes to El Debarge's story; there is something completely extraordinary yet, extremely triumphant about his journey throughout the years of his life. Which leaves me feeling relieved, joyous, and thankful towards God Himself and how He takes care of/preserve His own people in every situation, etc. Love Ya, EL and your siblings too!

Personally I think that he needs a different producer. Jimmy Jam or Lewis whoever they are too close and they need to pull in a new market for EL for example he already has us. if he could get with some other producers someone who does USHER, Timberlake, or i don't know i think that the sound could be more different and he could pull in other age groups. because he's timeless i mean he looks GREAT he looks maybe 40. but how many guys his age can pull it off. @Maxxine40..last I heard El is went to rehab in Mississippi ( source: he said it on Tom Joyner) The Farmers are no longer his managers he went back to his old manager (source: another interview with El). His Twitter and FB account were run by the record company so that's why its been idle. El said he will get his own but that was months ago during a radio interview in ATL..that's all I've found out so far from stalking El on the net...j/k...but I love me some El....
If Monica's "thirsty", who can blame her? I mean LOOK AT HIM! Besides, it's clear from this vid he was/is still hitting that. If anything, I'd say the thirst was mutual because they BOTH had "hot booty call" written all over them. It's still poppin'...at least when they did this, but perhaps even now. Meh.
OK The show is reality and it's written. You see Adris for a reason. Understand that. there is a reason for it and it's nothing to do with us nor el. I'm sure he would have all the family on there or whoever but he's very nice guy. But Adris is probably very pushy and also she may be sleeping with that white dude or someone in the thing she's hooked up with and they wrote her into that thing. El is just going along she's grown but she looks the same age as him.
His ex seems like a nag...she's prolly the one who drove him to do the dope in the first place...with all her naggin'...Lol. He needed something to release the tension and juss...did sum dope and iot spun out of control. The more naggin' she did, the more dope he did...prolly! Lol.
Ramone DeCurta El is an addict. Addicts are unreliable. What if he relapse and disappears from their lives again? That will devastate them emotionally. I understand her completely. That is what a good mama does who loves her children. She protects them. She is afraid that he will break their hearts and is trying to protect them from pain. I like her. She is protecting her children.
Pat P El DeBarge is a FORMER addict. He is no longer on drugs and he doesn't need haters like you either. He has a good relationship with his children. Instead of always saying stuff like that, let's support him.
