@THAT GOES WHERE?!? It's not bad to show off your new home. Hilary is one of the few teen stars that didn't trainwreck. It shows she's humble and grounded as she's stayed in the same place for ages for her kids to grow up in. A lot of these celebrities move a lot because they always want something bigger and fancier as they move up the wealth ladder. It's more an observation than anything.

@THAT GOES WHERE?!? I'm not saying that moving around is a bad thing. The average person can move around as a necessity. Maybe normal people want change, maybe their lease expired, maybe they got married or a new job. The rich move houses because a house is a luxury, a status symbol. It's more of an observation than us being judgey. Most of the houses on here seem like nobody lives there and are more like a museum, so it was a nice surprise to see Hilary's house which she admits is kinda messy and seeing her kids act like actual kids. She seems like she's being herself and not playing some character. Most of the celebs on these interviews seem like they are playing a caricature of themselves, afraid to miss their lines and afraid to break character. Celebs are generally so used to playing a character that they forget how to be a relatable person, break character and break the 4th wall. People are creatures of habit, so it makes sense. Also, if these celebs didn't want people talking about them and their lifestyle, they wouldn't film these house tours. Why are you getting so upset over this discussion anyway? We are saying we like Hilary because she is so unproblematic and real.

Hillary Duff’s house is exactly what you’d expect from her. Chic but playful and it seems she indulges her children not with tons of crazy gadgets but with things that require imagination. She defo has a celebrity’s home but it’s not tacky nor does it feel like a 5* resort. It’s very homely & her kids are incredibly lucky and I’m not talking about from a materialistic stand point.

I feel she takes her celebrity status as a separate part of her life. She works in movies/shows and then goes home and that's her real project. Her chickens, keeping the plants alive, raising her kids, learn guitar. I wish all famous hollywood people would be like this. It would be a far less toxic industry.

I agree and I think Hilary would be first to say it wasn’t always easy, she had this really great quote about it. About fame/stardom. That she cared about herself, her values, her reputation and the kind of person she wanted to be at an young age - Which is the biggest part, add in her good mom too. I remember in the early 2000s all these tabloids would try to predict her messing up. Unlike now, the people exploited the innocent young teens way too much. She’s still acting a lot. She’s on Younger for 7 years now. She seems very happy. She’s having another baby.

This is why Hilary has been my idol from the very beginning since before I was 10 (31 now), she's so humble and down to earth, she never gives off fake vibes and has never gone off the deep end like most of her Disney peers, yes she has gone through tough times as a teen/young adult with her eating disorder and dating older guys when she was underage but honestly that's it, she's kept her cool and poise and has come out on the other side stronger and more mature. She's so underrated it's ridiculous, love seeing her thrive in life and as a mother, this is definitely a family home.

OMG she actually achieved gold mom status and fulfilled every kid's dream: putting a slide in the house - better yet specifically her kid's BEDROOM!! 😖😖😖👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 i feel like if i had extra money that's the one fancy thing i know i'd add to a house, and she did it. idk it feels so wholesome.. 🌻 she seemed to put a lot of thought into her kids whilst still making it beautiful, rather than making everything so serious, adulty and expensive in the most boring sense

8 years she's been here..this is home for her. Everyone else I saw has been in their home for a few months and everything is neutral. She's not afraid of color or coffee spots on a dresser or whatever. Love it.

Not saying showing off your achievements is a bad thing but I just like the fact that instead of showing off one of her photo of a music album or something she's showing off pictures of her family and other people's art.

This was so refreshing. Nothing is overly grand, like some celebrity homes that makes it feel like a “don’t touch or sit” museum. You can tell that this house is their HOME, and it looks like such a comfortable and tasteful environment. Her mid-century modern touch really adds to that. I like that she's like "the table has Sharpie on it" and it looks like you can actually live in her house, it's not monochromatic like other stars where it looks like you can't sit on the couch because it will get dirty. Very warm, inviting, and functional house. You can see they planned every inch of the room for the family to enjoy. The expensiveness or luxury of the home is actually in the custom detailed, from the indoor bedroom slides to the “The Frame” TV. Those are all expensive items but it’s also very practical for everyday family use.
