Free throws, fitness and accountability were on display as head coach Mike Brown began training camp for his Sacramento Kings, where he required the team to run if three consecutive players failed to each sink two free throws to close out day one of camp. After a slight modification of the challenge, Kings' center Alex Len played the role of hero, forcing the coaching staff to run as a reward.

All these people out here talking mess don't even understand what this does for a team. How it helps to come together and grow. Encouraging each other, growing chemistry and accountability. They are exhausted and still pushing through and encouraging each other. It's great to finally see this here.

I’ll keep an eye on the kings now since they got Kevin huerter and I’m a hawks fan, can’t wait to see some kings games and hopefully Kevin is a starter but I know the kings also got monk this off-season both are capable of starting. Wow. Myself as a Kings fan, it may not happen. Very hard to change the culture. De'Aaron Fox is OK, but not a guy who can change the culture. He is probably better if he is with the Celtics, Heat or Spurs.

@@youngbae5187 well look at 2015-16 Kings, they had all necessary players needed. If organization were to listen to George Karl on trading Demarcus Cousins, they would of probably end playoff drought. When Karl was in Nuggets 2012-13, he had no superstar after trading Carmelo, but they still won 50 plus games, had best home record in NBA. Luke Walton was terrible. Mike Brown may be overrated. I hope I am wrong.

We’ll see how the end of the season turns out but they’re 38-26 and own the tiebreaker over the Memphis Grizzlies for the second seed in the Western Conference. I knew the Kings had potential, but I didn’t think they’d be this good to where they could possibly host a playoff series.
