I love this! Being an artist in Milwaukee (DJ/Producer) this is amazing to see! The one thing about the music industry here that I have seen is that there are a lot of rappers/artist in here that compete with each other but Run Along Forever, they are doing what every other local artist should do, support each other. The one thing I always tell upcoming or current artist is to keep going being consistent on posting content, posting music, and MOST IMPORTANT create your opportunities. Because some people are always waitng for the opportunity but trust me, you are able to create your own opportunity! Sweet video man!

Milwaukee doesn't have one particular sound. You got the "Low End" sound that's popular on TikTok with the new generation, the high speed/"slap" music that's the sound of the streets, and then you you got alternative, backpack, etc for the other artists who don't necessarily fit into those categories. The old Milwaukee sound was "jack rap" but that's pretty much not in style anymore or evolved into some of the sounds you see today.

Thank you for posting this. Theres so much more people and events to the scene that hasn't even been mentioned but the underground hip hop culture is more than trying to blow up their also directly doing things to to help the youth stay of the streets like the hip hop chess club for example. That low fi sound is ours cuz we broke but we tryin and it's about time we embrace that and come up from it and with it. Milwaukee is so diverse and segregated yet still unified as one love and one groove. Whether it's house music or hip hop DJs. Artists, and reapers our Talent is huge and underrated but that's OK, cuz our day will come! Cheers!

It's crazy hearing all these names I'd listen to all time time 5-10 years ago, see at all the smaller venues that actually host local stuff regularly and see them held up as old guards, it doesn't feel like it's been nearly that long. I've been wanting to get back into the local rap scene and but haven't had a clue where to start looking since the one radio station that truly shows love toward local music focuses way more on the rock end of the spectrum. alt press just put out an article about how the milwaukee music scene is blowing up, there was a good point made in this video that most venues dont like hosting rap shows. milwaukee is a punk city at heart to its own fault sometimes. you can tell that when you read the alt press article i feel like theres a bit of a cliquey vibe sometimes that hinders things. i think the memes are actually kinda awesome in a way, it sets the tone that its okay to get goofy listening to the music . this video was really well made. i hope people start to take the local scene here more seriously, hopefully one day
