One of the best clubs in Europe right now. I really hope this pays off for the owners... the passion for what they wanted to accomplish is audible. Absolutely incredible and unlike anything I've ever heard in Amsterdam, Berlin,... Drove some hours to go for Fadi, we'll be back to go to Freddy K (and it's very tempting to try and go for DVS1 as well). Also, the staff was also -incredibly- nice, that also doesn't happen on accident, they really know what they're doing there
Can confirm sound is 10/10 but no one talked about how amazing and friendly the stuff is aswell 10/10. I hope I can still get in when more people realize how amazing and close to perfection this place is. Been there twice and for sure not for the last time.
This club has been on my radar for a few months now, and I'm really excited to visit Wuppertal in Oct for several nights to attend Open Ground, starting with Fadi Mohem on the 2nd, Efdemin on the 4th and then Mala on the 5th.
Ich danke allen euch beteiligten, dass ihr so ein Hammerprojekt in Wuppertal realisiert habt. Das Open Ground ist für mich Ausdruck purer Begeisterung für 1a Unterhaltung.
Ich war im Juni das erste Mal dort (bei Calibre+Breakage), ich komme eigentlich aus dem Death/Black Metal Genre, habe aber eine heimliche Liebe für Drum'n'Bass/Jungle/Drumfunk. Ich war nie ein Clubgänger oder konnte das Gefühl für die Ravekultur für mich nie nachvollziehen oder verstehen, mag auch daran liegen, dass ich aus ganz anderen Genres komme, wo es eher keine Clubkultur gibt und DnB Events (kein Jump Up) in DE eher selten sind. Aber an diesem Tag im Juni im Open Ground, habe ich zum ersten mal in meinem Leben die Rave Culture verstanden, als Mensch der sich nicht so gerne unter Menschen mischt, habe ich mich trotzdem super wohl gefühlt, von Anfang an, vom Personal am Einlass bis hin zu den Bardamen, aber was mich am meisten geflasht hat, neben der Musik oder der Auswahl der Künstler, war die Aufmachung bzw. die Atmosphäre des Clubs, die Abstimmung der Beleuchtung, der Sound, es hat einfach alles gepasst und seit diesem Tag, will ich dieses einzigartige Gefühl unbedingt nochmal erleben! war nicht das letzte mal dort!
finally a club that puts emphasis & effort on acoustic treatment. such a shame this isn't more common. i really hope they will establish themselves as a destination and it's gonna be a commercial success. sad to have missed the fadi all nighter.
The staff is so incredibly friendly, the line up is just blowing my mind, so many artists I wanted to see for so long! And that DIRECTLY next to the main station is insane. We try to tell everybody of this masterpiece! So thanks for the documentary My new love since a few months ❤
Was there one month ago for the Fadi Mohem all night long and it was truly a sound experience. The sound system is so unique that give you energy without any substance. Since this day, I want to go back again everyday. As DJ begining his journey my goal it will maybe one day to be a resident of this club or at least to play in it 😂 I'll make the trip from France to see DVS1 in November !
Ive been there for a fadi mohem performance the club is really good and they are amazing people working there. The architecture is good and we have a beautiful experience there
Bis jetzt nur mega gute Erfahrungen gemacht im Open Ground. Für mich als Wuppertaler, eine wirklich krasse Bereicherung für die Stadt. Freue mich auf die nächsten Monate. Freddy K, DSV1, Blawan etc.... das wird schmecken. :D
Endlich. Mehr ist dazu nicht zu sagen. Es sieht und hört sich gut an, vor allem, wenn man als Artist die Vision dahinter versteht. Demnächst wird der Club besucht!
Man merkt, dass hier mit Herzblut an dem Projekt gearbeitet wurde! Hier hätte ein weiterer 0815 Club entstehen können, welcher nur auf Gewinn aus ist. Aber die Bilder und auch die Message aus dem Video zeigen einfach, wie ernst man das meint. 10/10!! Ich hoffe, dass Open Ground viele Jahre bestehen bleibt und alles gute & viel Erfolg für die Zukunft 🫶🏽 Wenn es mich nach DE verschlägt, dann steht ein Besuch auf meiner Bucket List :)
Going to visit this club soon! OMG I love Germany they definitely know what club culture is. In July I was in the same area at Stone Techno festival in Essen. It was amazing! Germany and Techno is as one. I also visited Berlin a couple of times. And the glory days on Sunday at the old Kiesgrube in Neuss/Düsseldorf. Big respect for al those creative minds in Germany that organise amazing things for us dancers and music lovers. It’s always worth it to make the trip from the Netherlands to Germany. For me the best place on earth as a electronic music lover.

War inzwischen schon ein paar mal dort, und der Sound ist wirklich phänomenal. Und auch ein großes Lob an das Personal. Das open ground ist eine echte Bereicherung für Wuppertal und die Region. Manchmal würde ich mir nur etwas mehr visuelle Stimmulation wünschen. die LED-Decke ist zwar auch interessant, aber etwas mehr abwechslung fände ich gut.
Nachdem bei mir bisher immer was dazwischengekommen ist wenn ich den Club besuchen wollte, ist es kommenden Samstag endlich soweit (Vil & Nørbak). Freu mich schon sehr drauf!!
Der Hype ist absolut gerechtfertigt! Der Sound ist der Wahnsinn, der Club selbst minimalistisch, aber sehr stylish und das Personal super freundlich, von der Tür bis zur Bar! Die Party war auch sehr gut besucht, der Mainfloor konstant voll. Publikum war gut durchmischt, im Schnitt aber eher jung würd ich sagen. Der Club wird mich definitiv ab sofort regelmäßig sehen! :)

Love this club, and great to see it's picking up speed. However, I do hope it sort of stays in the shadows for the masses, as 1. it doesn't have the capacity to host a lot of people and 2. the current visitors type has been amazing (musical lovers, not people coming there for 'the hype' / attention).
Sadly something you can't escape. The "cool" crowd is attracted to what is cool, and what is cool is decided by those who choose to subvert from that crowd. It's a never ending cycle, nothing lasts forever. It has happened with many types of music, clubs and subcultures throughout history. Though as an individual you can adapt, stay ahead of that crowd or even create your own thing (and maybe become part of the problem lol)
Right… the owners dont Need Money… so some selfish people like you can enjoy for a few weeks, Till they close it, cause they dont earn enough Money… what an idiot!
Gut das Clubs auf machen und auch wieder neu entstehen!!! Für das Zusammen vor Ort und im Kopf unglaublich wichtig. Dann noch gute Musik bei bestem Klang aufs Ohr... der Sog schlechthin. Sehe nur noch schließene/geschlossene Clubs/Disco Orte der elektronischen Klangkunst etc. Die Bauzeit ...7Jahre. Respekt fürs durchziehen.
@@ElectronicBeatsTV I'm waiting for the right Djs. I'm a bit picky when it comes to music tbh. My main focus is on Zenonesque and Psytechno. I haven't seen a Psy Party at Open Ground yet and would be very surprised if there was one in the future. Maybe they will play some Dark Minimal one day at least. In the 2000s I used to listen to DnB and Dubstep and these genres still have a place in my heart. Maybe I will go to the Open Ground when Mala comes in October or when Calibre visits Wuppertal again to celebrate the good old times.

They just don't have 5000€ or more headliners there and the booking is done by Arthur from Hard Wax, so there are more or less a lot of DJs he knows or who know Hard Wax or want to support the club and waive their usual fees.
Hi. What techno clubs in Berlin would let me in with no problem? I heard that getting in Berghain or Tresor can be very hard even if u have bought tickets online. The bouncers choose who to let in? Greetings
Muss ehrlich sagen dass, obwohl mich der Club schon sehr interessiert, das booking schon Geschmackssache ist. Unter Techno verstehe ich halt nicht nur 135bpm+ breakbeat Kram.
@@ElectronicBeatsTV Geht so, ne? Schaut man sich mal die Bookings z.B. im Odonien oder Artheater in Köln oder von mir aus auch im Bootshaus an ist das schon ein ganz anderer Sound. "Techno" in dem Sinne ist das ja eher nicht was dort läuft. Würde mir den Laden trotzdem irgendwann mal angucken.
Also Bootshaus und Open Ground sind auch Welten auseinander. Dann wirst du im OG definitiv nicht fündig, da wesentlich unkommerzieller von der Ausrichtung. Ps. Erzähl mal den Hard Wax Leuten, dass im OG kein Techno läuft, die machen nämlich das Booking 😉
@@ElectronicBeatsTV Techno ist ja auch nicht gleich Techno. Aber wenn die Anlage so geil ist würde ich dort vlt mal Acts von Labels wie SensoSound oder Alula hören. Auch unkommerziell und underground, aber eben mehr "Techno" nach meinem Geschmack. Aber am Ende natürlich auch ne Frage wie sich der Club so positionieren will ;)
Cool space, but do you need the literal gate keeping? I got grilled as to why I was going into a club in Berlin, got inside and everybody just sat outside staring at a fire, not listening to any of the music. Such a pointless step to the whole thing.
@@ElectronicBeatsTV the selector in your video literally describes her quizzing approach to selection. most clubs on that level in berlin have stopped doing that for a good reason, because it's quite superficial and just gets tourist to learn line ups by heart while queueing
@@kaite8371 i want them to be picky, that's not the point. all i'm saying is that there's a reason most established clubs do vibe checks differently nowadays. it's quite frankly offensive to be quizzed on the lineup like a school kid, even if you know it by heart. i find it as offensive as selecting based on your outfit.

Sind keine standard porösen Absorber. Alleine die Polyester-Platte oben drauf ist nen technisches Wunderwerk. Absolute state of the art Akustikmaßnahmen die dort angewandt wurden. Nachhallzeiten liegen über den gesamten hörbaren Frequenzbereich bei 0,2s
The lofts in Newcastle, had the worst lowest soundings sound system. You could talk normaly on the dance floor.It closed not long after it opened.shame it could have been a hit.
