Hey, you should always wash new sheets at least once before you use them. If they’re made in other countries it’s highly likely they’ve been sprayed with insecticides to prevent insect infestations during shipping. They also have sizing on them and that can smell funky. Those are my favorite sheets, and the only brand I buy now. I have that same pattern, too.

I never wash new clothes or bedding before I use them, I love the brand new feeling which disappears after the first wash. I’m sure Amanda washed her new set.

Couldn't agree more. No telling if the item has been on floors, or people sneezing on them. I wash everything before using the item. I always have but after Covid, it's even more important.

& don't forget all the ultra harmful chemicals used in the making of sheets & clothes. My poor relative with her sensitive skin gets insta rashes & allergy reactions just trying or touching new stuff, so the thought is, us less sensitive people absorb all that crap without knowing through our skin or breathing the molecules in, while she runs for the hills... + from the anti color staining sheets I always add to my wash, new stuff always sheds so much color regardless of price/brand these days (I miss the good quality stuff from when I was a kid).

My husband has lots of chores. The only chore he has that I ever take over is the power washing. 😂. There truly is an amazing amount of satisfaction in doing that chore.

Wow! Great video; duh me! Power wash outside cushions - so much easier than what I was doing. Amazing outcome with your table. Looks great with your other pieces. I suggest you leave it as is and live with it for a couple of months before deciding to make it darker. Looking forward to seeing your next project.

Here’s an idea- when you make your bed, put the top sheet on with the printed side down. My mother always told me to envision getting into a bed of flowers, flowers on the bottom flowers on my top. That way is you fold back your covers, your beautiful sheets show! 🩵

I enjoyed this it was so motivating I'm slowly working on my backyard I have a dog she's a Doberman when she was a puppy she damaged a lot so now she's a bit older and a indoor dog now I can fix it up, I need a power washer for sure after seeing this

The sheets are gorgeous! It looks so pretty how you made the pillowcases look like shams! I think the coffee table looks great, but maybe it might look even better slightly darker? Also, I think maybe the amount of cat/dog hair is from 3 days? 😂😂😂 The patio furniture looks beautiful!

If you are painting your furniture pls try Valspar Interior/Exterior Bonding Water-based Wall and Ceiling Primer. Use the primer before you paint your top coat. You will not regret.

Love the coffee table. Since it's such a large piece it might be better if it was darker but hard to tell bc I'm watching on my phone. I really need to pressure wash our patios. So that's on my list of things to do this Summer...but I'm going to rent one. Home Depot charges around $40 for the day (here in Southern California). We live in a small condo so it shouldn't take that long 💜💙💚💛🧡

Amanda, I'm kicking myself for not buying those sheets at Target when they had a 30% sale. I love the pattern and like you I'm open to patterns now. The table color definitely brightens up the livingroom and makes the table standout. However, it looks a bit yellow in my POV. I say go a little darker 😊👌🏽🛏

Amanda, It's so good to see you again. I always enjoy your videos. I LOVE ❤️ your new sheets. I tend to lean towards a pattern. Plus, I like 4 pillows 2 standard and 2 king. I know thats alot but when I roll on my left side I sleep with those pillows, and then when I roll on the right side, I have the other 2 pillows. Well, that's my TMI For the day. LOL 😆 I do like the way the coffee table matches but maybe 1 shade a little darker might be nice. Not too dark. Im kinda on the fence I guess if you don't immediately like it, you should go darker. Because with the bedroom dresser in your bedroom you knew you liked it right away. I am anxious to see what you decide. Take care.😊❤

If your dust dirt collections are indicative of the normal when you have pets, I'm guessing that's 3 days worth of dust/dirt. I only have 1 pet and he's a constant source of dust, dander, and every other source of mess. He's 25 years old and completely blind now so he steps in his food/water dishes on accident quite often, tracks food, water and litter through the house and sometimes misses the litter box altogether when he pees so it's a struggle to keep a clean house...but he is not long before he crosses the rainbow bridge. I call him my little hospice cat. Our day to day job is just to keep him comfortable. I love how the coffee table looks and you're right, a darker tone would be great. A shade or two lighter than the tone of the sofas would really pop without it being the full-on focal point. I'm excited to see the finished product.

Question for everyone - do you put sheets on the bed right out of the package or do you HAVE to wash them first? Me - I have to wash them first! Since I learned (from you) the pillow case tuck, I do that to all of my pillows. Just curious - do you ever worry about the TVs on the patio and balcony during monsoon season or when you're pressure washing? I'd be worried about the moisture even if they don't get hit with water directly. I know many people who have TVs outside but I've always been too afraid of the dampness and moisture ruining them. Love the way the coffee table turned out.

I love swaping out sheets and pillow covers. It does freshen things up. I have 4 sets of sheets I've collected over the years. Light blue for winter, cream for spring, white for summer, and green for fall through Christmas. I then swap out our sham covers (on our bed and the sofa), depending on the season/holiday as well.

To be serious, you actually do really good work when you paint. When you are painting, do you ever test out the shade of paint to make sure it’s the exact color you want? Because sometimes the shades will look different.

I have to watch out with printed sheets when you use stain removers or try using a brush to scrub a stain out it will also get rid of the pattern on your bed sheets

*alrighty… thoughts on the coffee table? I have lived with it for a few days now and actually liking it more and more - I’m mostly getting tied up with having that color on the coffee table, and then two more wood tones between our chairs & couches… but I maybe thought I should just adjust the feet on our couch and that could tie in better? Could you post a picture of the living room with the updated table? The reveal part of the video is only showing in the really small upper left corner of the video because the screen switches to showing the play list window. We can't really see the reveal in the video.

Taller lamps would elevate your bedroom. General rule is lamp and shade should be as high as the top of your headboard and in living room the bottom of the lamp shade should be the same or near the height of the back of the sofa or chair. It's a loose guideline but definitely makes everything look elevated and proportioned. Give it a try and see what you think. Love all your videos.

It is so rewarding to pressure wash and get things nice and clean. Like you, I live in the dustiest state ever and it needs to be cleaned often. Word of caution - be careful using the pressure washer on your windows as it can break the seal on them. Ask me how I know ;)

You can get a piece of beveled glass for from scratches and then just get some Velcro to keep it in place

I'm so glad you painted the coffee table. I told you instead of getting a new coffee table to go with your new sofa chairs, Just paint or stain your coffee table. To look new and go with your new chairs and it works. It's beautiful you did it. Have a wonderful day.
