The guy matches his own house! It's perfect. Right down to the choice of belt, and the choice of Surrey town. You would think this was parody if it was written in a TV drama.
I appreciate all the details he gave about the interior design and discussing why they made the design choices they did. Also, I love the kitchen! I don't know what I'd put in that display case above the kitchen island, but I want it! The colors are a bit too dark for my taste, but I really like how cozy the master bedroom is.
I've got all of the original photographs of this Applegate home saved on my computer from when it was listed as a brand new property in 2017 and I'll be honest when I first saw the transformation a few months ago to what it is today, my initial response was of disappointment, but I now think that was a mistake on my part. I loved a lot of the rooms when this was a brand new home, especially the kitchen - it just worked really well,. but as he said in this video it was set up as a developers home, but it feels very individual and unique now. Some of the rooms still feel a bit dark and moody for my taste but the interior design works really well, and you can see the quality of the craftsmanship in every detail. My initial thought was I would have kept the house in its original show home condition but now I've seen it properly and with the passage of time, I've really grown to love what he's done with this house.
He did mentioned it is a show house so will see a lot of different designs. Yet its actually nice. You can pick from what ever room the style you like and then make it ur own. :)
Nobody gives a toss where you came from if it’s tasteful . This is tacky , blingy and ostentatious with the empty cold feeling that comes in houses where expensive things are just shipped in with no real individual thought , just the need for what they perceive as ‘the best’ . You see it in footballers ,sports stars , boxers , rappers , pop starts etc . Too much money , let’s show it off and what you end up with is ostentatious monstrosity of bling .
Why do these types of homes just have so much unnecessary space making them not cosy and colours that are so bland . How much grey, black and white can make you want to stick your head in the oven., There is damn all colour in furnishings and even the garden is dull and unimaginative with hardly any plants. All the gear but no idea.
New money can never buy taste. Just naff. Art for footballers. Interior for the easy to impress. Wonder if he has done a tax write off as he keeps saying it’s a show home. Possibly the worst luxury home show. Ever.
