If you are talking about the Dallas show it was 2 million worth of cards that went missing. Pretty weird how the individual didn't know until the end of the show. Seems to me it was an inside job or planned from the beginning for the attention.

Not attention, just plain insurance fraud. I bet most of them cards were switched out or counterfeited to enable the scam so they will collect on insurance and then slowly bring back the real cards.

They could have been customers at the show and then made a plan to steal it. Most of these show are 2 to 3 days. The one guy pretending to stack chairs means they planned it with where there will be very few witnesses and saw hardly any security or cameras.

It's 2024 and you are leaving a case worth a million bucks sitting on the floor all alone in a room filled with perfect strangers and no security anywhere to be found? If that were my case I would have it chained to my wrist. That is 100% on the owner of the case. Of course, this all could be an inside job where the owner will file an insurance claim and be paid the value of the cards. Think of it this way, how do the thieves know which case to take unless they were told by the owner which one? This whole thing smells.

If the card case stolen is like a suit case, then the more convenient it is for you to carry also apply to the thief, also for all the cards being so valuable and the card show set up being so relaxed, it's like a open invitation for thief's, their needs to he security when you check in your stuff like at a airport or a club, like come on at least have a person taking pictures of whoever comes in, any kind of measure would help detour crime bc its like going to the flea market indoors but the merchandise is super valuable

Highly intelligent and very coordinated. They scoped everything out and took non serial numbered vintage cards, which are going to be hard to track down when they crack them out of the holders. They're 100% cracking those slabs and either selling raw in different venues or subbing very slowly over time to different grading companies. If they put this much thought into how to get the cards, changing clothing to try and disguise who they were over the weekend, then they know they have a million dollar score and will play the long game. Sad that this happened to these dealers.

Just because the value maybe $1mil; that’s probably far from the profit from selling the item. I’d say maybe 10%-50% profit depending on when purchased, etc factors. Security could easily run $100k per year to watch over this for only 10 hours per day / everyday. I’m sure you’d want security when it’s at home or storage too? $30 x 10 hrs x 365 = $100k. So you’re really cutting into profits at that point. Insurance would be the key to have and probably much more affordable and less worry. This is better than a gun at head give me your stuff outcome too.

Hell I wouldn't even bring the real cards to the show. nobody buying that stuff anyway at a local show. THey knew exactly what case to take. none of those cards were ever gonna sell at those prices. I have to agree, there is no way that person could have known which case had high value items in it unless he was told in advance. What does the video show before this is what I’d like to see. Did the dealer talk to any of these people before this clip, did he , for some strange reason, just happen to mention what he had? Doubtful, if there are four people being used in this theft they knew ahead of time what was going to be worth stealing to distract the other dealers at just the right time the dealer who got robbed left.

This shit was planned very carefully. In a wide open conference room someone was stacking fucking chairs to blend in. Grabs the goods without anyone noticing. Looked to be the youngest of the bunch too. Word is they changed clothes throughout the day. This wasn't planned on the fly in a single day. Someone has had their eye on this dealer for weeks or months. The small details of this heist are too carefully orchestrated. The older accomplices are distracting the dealers to perfection. The female at the top of the frame is suspicious as well. None of them looked at any cameras. You know they knew they were there. Some thieves are simply brazen enough to not care and someone experienced knows that looking straight at one is a sign of nervousness. The guy bumping the kid is definite post-grab jitters but everyone else was calm as a glass of water. Even the kid bolting with the case. He grabbed that shit like he owned it and knew the most direct route out of there while looking normal. Being caught on camera and actually caught in the act are two totally different things. Luckily it only takes one suspect to talk and the dominos start to fall.

All due respect if you don't expect something coordinated like this to go down eventually someone's gonna take your 7 figure stuff. Awfully curious though how someone without direct knowledge or relation to the owner would know to take that specific case but there could be a very reasonable explanation. It kind of ends up like stealing from the mob because it's now going to be very difficult to sell the stuff. Sad and unfortunate but completely expected. Can't trust anyone sadly

The most shocking news was someone would pay million dollars for cards . The price are way out of balance for video games, cards, comic. If i would buy a card for $50,000 now if want to sell it to get my money back must sell it for $60,000 to make so money on it. Now how many people would pay for it and if the want to sell it later would want to make money on it to. So $70,000 goes on and on .
