Rogan has conversations, not interviews. Rogan watches Shaws shows and follows him. Why ask him the same questions everyone else has asked him on ever show?

@datnip79 i did. Sadly. I was a big fan of jre but since a couple of years Joe and his podcast content changed a lot. Im from europe so i cant relate at all to the content from jre anymore, even if the guest is of my interest, like Shawn was.

Shawn does such a great job of explaining the surveillance trade craft. I’ve had well over 17,000 hours of physical surveillance under my belt. It’s physically and mentally taxing in the field, especially when you have to think on the fly. I always tell people when they ask, it’s 80% bored out of your mind, 20% adrenaline dump. The best advice I ever got is be a face in a sea of faces. Nice job Shawn.

Wrong. The standards for what he did GRS were lowered around 2008. 3 week course had guys with zero military background. Surveillance, Snatches, PID tag along on hits, 2 man fly away etc. were routinely done 2004 to 2008. The legal staff shut much of that down as GRS is part of Directorate of Support not the Director of Operations which SAC falls under. It’s really embarrassing that guys like Shawn Ryan are trying to convince people they were doing covert paramilitary operations.
Bro, even 1st Cavalry Division had sections doing shit in Iraq that were totally nonstandard. Just because you know about one portion of GRS, doesn’t mean you know them all.
