Hi everyone! If you’re watching this video, chances are, you probably went to the Emergency Department once before in your life. In this video, I will be giving you an insider perspective as a medical student on to how the emergency room works at the hospital. As you will see, there are different zones where you go to after you have been through triage with one of the nurses. The zones are defined by the gravity and emergency of your situation and therefore depending on your case, the staff will prioritize patients who are at greater risk of deteriorating. The zone you will be assigned to will greatly affect how long you will be waiting to see a doctor. Enjoy!
