Just to be clear, this hotel has renovated all their rooms but the casino has not been renovated yet. That's up next as well as the expansion of the food court area 😏✊🏼 thanks for watching!

Hey Pompsie. Both rooms look nice but the standard room despite the small bathroom would work for me. A clean room, comfy bed and a nice shower is all I need.

The thing I dig about Pompsie is that his videos always seem like his unique style. There's the obvious film making proficiency but there's also a lot of heart and personality which IMO is why he's blown up the way he has.

I was there a couple months back. I sorta liked the old school look of the casino floor and the rustic feel of playing roulette at their cheap tables. Most of the older casinos downtown or cool.

I’m impressed with the design of the rooms, especially the bathrooms, which have a cool modern vibe. One does not “resort” to White Castle, you must appreciate White Castle for being exactly what it is-perfect. Please feature your cat in more videos. Good Kitty.

Next time you're at Tony Roma's try the ribs. That's what they are famous for. Oh and one more thing, try the onion loaf. It's incredible!

I was Downtown in mid-February. I stayed at El Cortez and had a ball. Here it is mid-April and I'm ready to go back. I love Downtown Vegas. No other place like it. The smiles, the music, the people, and the overall vibe is so much fun. Thanks for the update on The Fremont. I'll have to try it out. Love your videos.

Great post. It is good to hear they upgraded. My two visits last year I felt Vegas needs a face lift in some parts. I love the Fremont experience.

I'm actually really excited the hotels on Freemont are getting renovated! My grandpa and his friends would stay in the Freemont hotel and that's kind of where I pictured older people staying but now everyone can enjoy the new renovations and it can attract more diverse crowds

They did a nice job renovating. I'd consider staying there during a future trip. My next trip is already booked.

The Fremont charges a $28 resort fee for no amenities whatsoever!

Fremont Street can be such an amazing value! It's great how there is coffee and mini fridge in the standard room, something you will never see in a MGM properties standard room. The A1 shot at Tony Romas was a good enough summery but glad you elaborated more about its value of that restaurant at the end of the vlog. If I didn't stay at the Mirage for free I would always stay on Fremont Street and probably The Fremont Hotel.

Swingers was and has been my favorite movie of all time. When I was in the Corps, my boys used to call me Mike because I thought I was “money baby” 😂

Aloha, Greta and Pompsie. The Fremont was once my very favorite place to stay but I we got older, over 50+, my husband and I stayed there around the 80-90's, along with a group of his friends. It became too roudy for us, once they started to open up bars on Fremont St. Loud and lot of intoxicated people strolled into the casino and few elderly crap players would get mugged in the casino floor restroom, mostly Asian visitors from Hawaii, so we decided to move over to the Cal. But I just loved the location to the other downtown casinos, so convenient. Next time you're at the Fremont try out Second Street for more fine dining, and Chinese fast food at the Lanai, try their Saimein(Ramen soup)the broth is great. Lastly, hope to meet up with you and Greta for a selfie, I'll be there in May. Be Safe and stay well.

I always stay at the Plaza but now that I see they're renovated, I can see staying there. I love Tony Roma's when you can actually get in without the ridiculous waiting list. And I always get some Dark Chocolate Peanut Clusters at the candy store there in the Fremont now that the one in the Golden Nugget is permanently closed, it appears, due to COVID. But staying downtown is SOOOOOO much better than staying on the strip. So much to hang out and do and it's half the cost. And anything you need is a close walk.

Standard, looks smallish, however, Suite looks awesome

We stayed there quite a few yrs ago (at least 15 yrs ago). We had a comped 3 night stay. The rooms had not been renovated. It was clean. The staff was excellent. The only downside was how small the standard room was and you could hear the people in the room next door way too clearly. Like WAAAAY TOOO CLEARLY! If they coughed, sneezed, had sexy time or went to the bathroom you knew. We could hear every conversation clearly. It was awkward. We did have one weird thing happen... one day we went out really early and came back about 24 hours later. There were smashed m&m's all over our room floor. They were not ours. It was weird. We had an overlapping stay at another hotel by one day so we were just coming to get our stuff. Nothing was missing....just the added M&M's. It was strange. Bed was made. Toiletries were refreshed. Not sure what that was about. Lol.

fremont is great and historic. They used to have an olympic pool on the roof of the parking garage. I started going there in the 60s. Great review.

It's about damn time they renovated those rooms. We have stayed there many many times, but haven't stayed there since 2019. The bathrooms are tiny, but i like where the hotel is located, free valet parking, plus it gets comped so we stay there. Love their Dunkin Donuts, best coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

They did a good job on the renovation. Any hotel built in the 1950’s is going to have a small bathroom and is to be expected. They can’t really change the footprint.

Visited Vegas in 2019 and I was able to visit Fremont Street. Reminds me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

You need to put up billboards in Vegas and Henderson . I lived there for 10 years as a Home/structure inspector, and I have found out more about Vegas in 5 videos of yours. Love the Channel. By the way Im retired and in my late 60s, enjoy your channel

The Fremont Hotel used to have a fantastic buffet - that closed during the pandemic. Wish they would have kept it open.

I’ve ate at that Tony Roma’s a few times and it’s always been decent food and good service.

The California has better rooms and is away from all the noise from Fremont Street. The new food court Fremont is adding is a plus.

I LOVE Caesar salads and have eaten them everywhere they're made in Las Vegas. So I've had from really really good to really really bad. One of the best Caesar salads I have is surprisingly at the German restaurant, the HOFBRAUHAUS! The Hofbrauhaus has delicious German food, but they know how to make an amazing Caesar Salad!

Miss the buffet. Wasn't anything great food wise but the decor and ambiance was unique and its always so quiet.

Neonopolis and The Plaza both have tiny food courts, but they're on opposite ends of Fremont Street. It will be great to have one in the middle!

Stayed their a dozen times in the 80s. Ate at Romas often, and they have the best breakfast Cafe in Las Vegas. We hardly ever went to the strip.

Never stayed there. But the rooms look good. The bathroom is bigger than some Holiday inn which you must leave the door open. Tony Roma is a good basic family restaurant with great prime ribs special but should not be a casino hotel premier restaurant. Casino is pretty good.

I visited the Fremont Hotel in February & was so surprised that the buffet wasn’t open. I hope they consider bringing it back when they work on the food court expansion.
