I think the experience, varies dramatically. My first visit to Bellagio Dec 2022. I booked with amex. I got $200 back for booking. $100 spa or food credit (used in room dining) noon check in, 4pm check out. Breakfast for 2. Fountain view room. If I would have booked directly with Bellagio I would not have gotten all these perks.
I have never stayed at the Bellagio, however, I recently stayed at the Vdara. I was pleased to discover a walkway from Vdara to Bellagio. Approximately a 7-8 minute indoor walk and you can go from the Vdara to the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens! Just an FYI for anyone who may be staying at the Vdara! Aside from that, great video as always!🤘
Thanks for the review Chris! I just stayed at the Encore and found that there weren't any lower scale dining options there either, otherwise it was a nice experience. I think the Cosmo is great for having a lot of meal options that won't cost you an arm and a leg and it's also center strip.
Love the Bellagio. I stay there more than any other hotel. It’s a great location but it’s not for everyone. My younger friends don’t like to stay there because it’s boring but I like it because it’s not party crowd.
We also stayed there during Christmas, and they were packed. Our check-in person said they were almost fully booked. Great location and the renovated rooms are awesome. We ate at Sadelle's and Nooldles, both were good.
Beautiful hotel... I have in my profile "away from elevators" to try and minimize the late night noise...then I stayed at the MGM and had the last room at the end of the hall. I asked them for a bicycle to get to the elevators.😂 It's a really long hallway, 1/4 mile? FYI, they don't provide bicycles!😠 Lately I've been staying off strip and enjoying it more. Lots of great eating off strip and no or less parking and resort fees. A lot of places are charging for parking when it used to be free. I told one guy "you're in a strip mall with lots of free parking." He said "you can't park overnight without paying." Anything to make an extra buck! For a similar price on strip you can get a suite or one bedroom at an off strip hotel. I like it better because my wife and I sleep at different hours and I don't get the "TURN OFF THE TV!".😂
Probably stayed there more than any other Vegas casino in my fifty plus trips driving up from San Diego…just love its elegance and classiness…(also, I can generally get a two night stay for only the cost of the resort fees because I have a LOT of MyVegas loyalty points to burn…like seven million, and it only costs 225k for a two night stay!)
Hi Chris, you mentioned that the self check-in kiosks didn't work for you with 2 rooms? I booked 2 rooms for my group and was hoping for a seamless and quick check-in process.
I also didn’t like the way the sound carried through the halls and between the rooms. I heard everything from music and tv to drunk people to couples having…private fun, but it wasn’t so private. Made me extra cautious about being noisy in my room for any reason. I had a lot of noise through the windows too, but to be fair I had a room with a fountain view so being that close to them I had a lot of noise there. Aside from that I loved the room, but the thin walls were a big negative for me.
The real offensive item is the room fridge which looks like it can only hold a couple of ham sandwiches. And if you or the princess even lift up anything else in the service bar, you're charged? Pow!
Pearl status gets you free parking at MGM hotels. Gold for free valet. You didn’t mention the largest chocolate fountain in the world, cool. Get a dessert next to it and sit at a table enjoying my sweets and people watching, fantastic. Enjoy your videos. Thank you.
My room at Bellagio was dilapidated ...it wasn't the newly renovated rooms you posted. I presume since they knew you were a youtuber doing a review of their hotel they would give you a better room. To be honest, when I made my reservation at Bellagio I was pretty excited to stay at their hotel and had high expectations (I have stayed at most of the other hotels on the strip). I was saving the best for last, but my expectations were met with grief. I even did the tip the reservation agent $20 for the better room (suggestion from youtube video 😁) but that didn't help at all, lol. Either way the staff do deserve at good tip.. Charging for parking is a total joke! As for my future stays in Las Vegas (I usually go 6-12 times a year) I will NOT be staying at Bellagio.
thanks Chris ! We stayed at the Bellagio several years ago, and I found the experience a little hollow. Everything very expensive, everything a little too upscale and sedate. I am much more comfortable in a themed, smoky, and noisy property (that is maintained)... our current favorite is the New York New York. In the late 90's our favorite was the Rio (when the Sky Show ran 4 times a day) and in the mid 2000's, it was the Monte Carlo for many years.
Amen! Stayed there 2 years ago for our 40th wedding anniversary. Beautiful property but EVERYTHING is way overpriced. Our favorite before pandemic was the Monte Carlo 🥰. Mirage became our second favorite. Sadly HR took over and comps don’t come close to MGM. Just like you we prefer the low key, smaller and well maintained properties.
NIce one. I was thinking that high enders would want newer counterparts like Venetian and by golly, as always, by the end you covered that too! I don't think you did rates on this one (but probably vary by season as well as weekday). And I don't think I heard my favorite, the Nazi resort fee, which I read is 51.02 in 2023 (confirm that). And I read that the $18 parking importantly allows in-and-out - if there are any spaces open! I also read that the pet fee is, ready now? $200/pet/night. It might be a judgment call to bring 4 panda "real pets" for $5000 per week :)
@@YellowProductions Interesting, I wasn't aware there was that term for this. BTW Investopedia says "In the European Union, regulators have mandated that taxes, fees, and surcharges may not be dripped."
Is it true that the minimum charge for room service is $100? Or is that just during peak times? I couldn't tell from their website what they meant by that...
Oh man, love all your vids and can't wait to see this one. I always love a new perspective on a strip hotel. Especially an iconic one such as the Bellagio. Thanks Chris.
This was a very descriptive video about the Bellagio hotel, indeed it's a luxurious hotel!! It's on my bucket list to stay there one day. I just wish these Vegas strip hotels would have breakfast included! Then, I feel like more people would be inclined to come to Vegas. Just going outside of the Vegas strip gives you a hotel with breakfast...
@@YellowProductions We stayed there in early April, the remodeled rooms have the personal shelf but the shelf is really small. You cannot stand up a can of coke, also the temperature in the mini fridge did not seem cold at all.
For cheap eats Bellagio has Noodles for sit down Asian noodles, there is sadelles for casual diner American, there is a fast casual eatery like snacks for burgers and pizza, and there’s the patisserie which is slightly better then Aria for desserts like handmade crepes in the morning, also you have two cafes and a Starbucks. Other hotels may have more casual options but there’s a few. Then in the summer the pool cafe is a nice sit down breakfast/ lunch spot.
I go to Vegas alot and am comped at every mgm property so I have choices. I never stay at Bellagio because it draws so much traffic from people who don't stay there. All the looky loos who come to the conservatory and take selfies and pics and just stand there is stupid. I would rather stay at Excalibur than Bellagio.
