As a X ranker who sits at 2000-2100 most of the time, I woulda done this too, but....I grinded to X because I WANTED to be here and turn into a stronger player, and I'd feel like I'm throwing away my hard work climbing down on purpose.
I'm so glad we get another Inside the Mind! Hopefully, when Splatoon 3 comes out, we can get some new ones - based off new specials, weapons, the singleplayer, etc :)
@I have no username idea. Guess I'll just stop rank then,there were multiple times where I wanted to cry because of getting kicked down to A-.(I always get pitted with the worst possible combination while the other side ends up looking like a dream team obliterating me)

X rank, the rank that I may or may not attempt at reaching. It would be a nice accomplishment to get and give me something else to do in Splatoon 2, but I lack the motivation to do so. Who knows though, maybe I'll consider putting that onto my bucket list. If not S rank isn't bad either. Awesome video Alpha! 🐯
I gotta say that the grind to X can suck most of the time but that just makes it feel soooooo much better when you do get X. if you are grinding for X, YOU'VE GOT THIS!
Im on rank x and i can confirm alomost everything you said. I had to fight a lot to get on that level, and it's a real challenge. Not only for the hight skilled players, but for the game itself, your wrost enemy is the game itself, cause for the illogic hitbox, casual disconnections and many more. It's a pain, bit if you sucseed: it's worth it^^ I keep do my best to improve but with never forget the main objective: have fun!

Inside the mind if splatoon 2 x rank players: “My team is throwing how are they x I bet they got carried and are just now realizing they actually have to frickin’ contribute.” Btw I haven’t watched yet so if this is there I’m gonna laugh so hard
10 S+ ranks is stupid, I see all of these other people skipping to S+9, or at least halfway through the ranks, but I only rank up once, and that has happened twice, plus I barely even lost any matches
I agree technically. 10 s+ ranks to get to x are dumb and I think there should be MORE ranks to go through to get there. X rank is supposed to be “the best of the best” but 13 year old little Timmy is in x going 1-17 every match. If they were to make it that you need 20 ranks or something like that x rank will actually FEEL like x rank imo
One time, i needed one more win to get to the S ranks, and I had no crack in the bar, then i lost every single match till I was back at A- one loss away from ranking down. gotta love splatoon.
Once I was playing Splatoon 3, and the entire enemy team got disconnected except for one person, and all of my team stayed connected. And it was clam blitz
I wish I could play ranked, I've only made it to C in Rainmaker and Tower Control, C- everywhere else. And don't get me started about my problems with Clam Blitz.

This video really explains x rank, like for me, i just get a few more points when i win a battle. Then you suddenly put me into a lobby where there are multiple crowned players and you just can’t handle them- and the point system has been pretty chill on me, like the most points I have ever lost were just 20 points, and i usually gain 10-20 points if i win. But seriously, x rank is so stressful for me to handle, then i have to have my team carry me cause i am way too stressed out to handle it
I saw your username in a match once and I didn’t think it was and you he was using the dynamo roller. Now that I saw you holding it Im pretty sure I played a ranked match with you
me getting demoted to s+9 because that one teammate. it might be my fault, it might be the guy who decided to focus on getting kills rather than doing the objective. might be both of us

I am only X rank in splat zones and I’ve only been there for like two months now and my current Xpeak is twenty three sixteen, but I think I just got lucky.
