Charles Barkley is a shining example its not about winning not about comparing. we fight so hard to be remembered on some measurable scale. Charles Barkely exemplifies that all the accolades accomplishments fade but being a legend for just being yourself hes in a league all to himself.

I'll always respect Chuck for coming back for one last game, purely for pride, so that his last moment wasn't getting hurt. That's totally championship mentality, honestly, to spend months rehabbing just to come back and play a few minutes against the Vancouver Grizzlies. You gotta love the game to do all that.

I think one of the things under appreciated about Charles, is the fact despite his size being 6"4, there were times he was guarding 7"0 centers on opposing teams or being guarded by them. That's a testament to his beast athleticism. And of course back then paint play was big, so having to grind it out with the biggest and best centers back then was phenomenal.
@frappexd_2959
@frappexd_2959 5 лет назад
Dont forget they changed the. Back to the basket rule. literally because he was too damn beast in the post. I remember Kenny talking about it something like " they changed the rules because they said it's illegal to have his back to the basket and play basketball. " barkley was a beast for sure. Its sad how the only highlights we show now is when he was playing for the rockets when he was fat & slow. They need to show his philly days

no. first of all, the commentator said Moochie Norris and not reggie norris; second, he's number 12 and iverson was number 3; third, he's a left hander and iverson is a right hander. however, when i first so this video, i thought, for a moment, that the one who hugs him at 2:48-2:49 is iverson (it's moochie norris, by the way ;) )

If you like those 'unique' type of players, check out Adrian Dantley some time. Basically a 6'5" power forward - listed as a small forward but scored the majority of his points at the rim - he led the NBA in scoring twice during a high scoring era, and averaged 30+ppg 4 seasons in a row.

I know that back then the stars were all about winning on their own (nowadays it’s basically all about the best teaming with the best to form super teams that are almost guaranteed a chip IE KD & the Warriors, Lebron & any team he goes to, KD & the Nets) but I do wish Barkley set aside his ego and just join the bulls to win rings as as much Rodman was a vital and significant part of the second three peat, Barkley instead of Rodman would have been quite possibly even better as Barkley had a similar skill set in rebounding and defense but also can hold his own as the primary scorer of a team which Rodman was possibly the best rebounding the game has ever seen but he didn’t score whatsoever doing stats like 0 points with damn near 30 rebounds but a Bulls led by Jordan, Pippen and Barkley would most likely be unbeatable
