It’s tough because the Mavs are a 5th seed and the crew is going by stats..but like Ernie said, throw those out because no Kai 3/4 and it’s a whole new roster/team. I’m going Mavs in 6
@@tigera6 Man thats a low blow. Don't wish injury on anyone, thats not good. And also gsw won, after Kd left so, its mainly league getting better not gsw getting worse. However, I agree with the fact that the competition is great for the league.
I don’t mind them picking the wolves but they didn’t have a single good reason for it. They kept talking about how impressive it was to come back in the second half but not one of them noticed the 20 missed open shots Denver took. If Minnesota’s defense is giving up 20 open Looks, then Dallas is going to run them out of the building.
@@lhype1748 Mavs are 1-3 against Wolves this season. All games were played in the first half of the season. All 4 against a G league roster without defense and proper centers. In 3 of those L's it was twice that Kyrie and Luka both didn't play and one time Kyrie didn't play. The one game they actually both played they won. And that's with an old roster. Mavs in 6
As a neutral fan, I see Mavs being more dangerous than people think. The Nuggets were pretty much only Jokic and Murray. The Mavs are more well-rounded and have a better bench. The Wolves played legendary defense, BUT, they technically did not stop Jokic. They locked down every other Nugget and secured the series win, but Jokic still produced efficiently. Luka will do the same and he has better help. The Mavs also took out the #1 net rating west team in the Thunder. They are no slouch.
I think its very possible that Luka will cook next series, as he for sure will try to get that switch on KAT or Gobert. Still Ant is big problem, rebounding might be big problem too.
lol what??? Aaron Gordon was balling for 5 out of the 7 games so no your lying and as for the bigs the wolves bigs are going to dominate gafford and lively aren’t skilled enough for strong enough to deal with those 3 bigs
@@bigda6407 You say that until Gobert or KAT get put on an island against Luka or Kyrie and get played off the floor, better hope KAT shoots lights out from 3 and doesn't get into foul trouble, Luka and Kyrie are not Jamal Murray
Jaded Lakers fan here. I found myself cheering for the wolves in these playoffs but I have a sneaky feeling Mavs are going to break their hearts in 6-7 games. The 3 straight losses Denver handed to wolves was very telling and showed how shook they can get despite this trumped up leadership from Edwards. The real weapon wolves have is their collective defense. Once that turns on, they win plain and simple. This will be a great series.
@@clydeshelton9199yeah and Dallas has yet to lose 2 back to back games in the Playoffs. Vs Really good competition. They needa zip up everyone on the Wolves.
As a mavs fan I’ll remember when every single one of them counted us out. In the finals too, I know they’ll count us out again. It’s 2011 all over again. Forever the underdogs
@@jdbb3gotskillsbelieve it or not kyrie is the heartbeat of this team whether he scores or not his playmaking, defense and leadership showed last series okc doubled him every game.. still no problem
@@MistyKathrine He guaranteed it after the T-Wolves won the first 2 games, but he said it would be a sweep. Denver then won 3 straight. And Charles has been saying the Nuggets are the best team in the West all year long. He just guesses or goes with whichever team won more recently.
Mans are talking like Joker aint got a ring already. This is the first real heartbreaker for Denver as contenders. When was the last time Joker was motivated to be in the lab? I bet he is now..
man.. it's frustrating isn't it 😂 imma Heat fan, i know how it is to have the talking heads doubt your team even though they've proven they shouldn't be doubted.. the Mavs have proven that they should not be doubted
Dallas in 617!! People will keep sleeping on them cause they’re a 5 seed but they’ve been the best team in the NBA outside of Boston since the trade deadline!!
@@philipthavenius9801 His knee injury isn't that bad. And it would only affect his movement right? Well his movement looks normal to me, hes healed bruh
@@Majestic-YT From what I was told by a physiotherapist was that some movements won't really be affected, but it will hurt with things like jumping or twisting. I trust that until he himself or his doctors say otherwise, but so far we have been told he wouldn't be playing if it was a normal game. (Edit- I hope you are right).
I understand why people keep doubting the Mavs as a 5 seed, but I think people also forget how unstoppable they'e been since the trade deadline. If we had Gafford and Washington at the beginning of the year, the Mavs could very well be a 1 seed. It'll be a fun series.
Yep they also had #1 defence in the last quarter of the season. Still i think this series comes down to the bigs and its gonna be a battle with Gafford/Lively/Jones v Kat/Reid/Gobert
They didn’t have one single reason why Mavs would lose other than Minnesota coming back down 20. Mavs did it down 18 in game 6 to #1 OKC, so that isn’t worth a plug nickel, they’re too stupid to know it. Minnesota is about to play a team they haven’t seen, and Kyrie and Luka are coming for their throats. Sweep
if in 4 days he have free, he can get back to 90% healthy i think he will make Gobert unplayable, like he did so far in his carrier and win the series in 6, if not everyone else have to play close to perfect for mavs to have any chance.
If the reports are right and Maxi is close to coming back....gimme Mavs in 6. Just another pretty damn good perimeter defender who can shoot the 3 for the Mavs. But this one is 6'10 and can make life miserable for KAT.
The Luka and Mats disrespect from all these medias is crazy. Kyrie about to go crazy he was saving his energy for the second half of the playoffs rounds.
No disrespect. Wolves are a higher seeding and beat the reigning and defending champions on their home court when nuggets had all the momentum. I think riding the wolves train is justified at the point. It’s just logic that Mavs are underdogs now, which makes all the sense in the world
these guys have been wrong against the Dallas Mavericks each time out, and the Mavs keep proving them wrong.. they just didn't like the Mavs because of Luka..
Mavericks fans are in for a culture shock. They’ve never seen defense close to what the Timberwolves can bring. The suns and nuggets both looked stunned in games 1 and 2 with how difficult Minnesota made it for them.
And you obviously didn’t watch the Mavs series against OKC and the Clippers. I’m less scared of the T-Wolves defense than OKC’s. McDaniel is a great defender but can’t guard Luka because of the size difference. Also Edwards already said he wants to guard the smaller Kyrie. Even he’s scared of looking bad when guarding Luka
@@lawrencedanao7648 There’s a bigger gap between the number 1 defense in the nba and the number 2 defense, than the number 2 defense and the number 10 defense. Minnesota isn’t just good defensively. They are generationally good.
@@noyou113 if they don’t start hugging luka or tripping him, elbowing him, kneeing him in the groin then I would say he will be fine. they literally had to play dirty on luka and he still averaged 27/9/9. luka is the most doubled player in the league by a factor of 2 and was still clear top scorer. I don’t think any defence can stop luka unless it’s dirty.
No hate on the wolves because they just play who they match up against but they haven't played a team of dogs like the mavericks are beating the defending champs is something though but there's something about the nuggets where their style is more uniform than it is just gritty and tough like the mavericks it's gonna have to be complete team efforts on both sides unfortunately for dallas they're gonna have to play another physically tough defense and it's gonna get chippy it can really go either way. everyone has talked all year how stacked the west is and this match up is proof of that
Plus Denver got a lot of fuel that turned into hype from sweeping Lebron. I never believed in them in the WEST. Lebron just gave up the ghost when his team needed him over and over.
This is the strongest Mavs team I've seen since our last championship. To me, it's the most overall complete team in terms of depth. Anyone can step up, and they are grinding it out on defense along with a little bit longer rest they are dangerous.
Ant had 16 points and they still won lol. Nuggets have been playing catch up this entire playoffs. Give Jokic another All NBA or All Star to work with lol.
They just need to get rid of KCP and replace it with someone like Paul George or another consistent score. Too much pressure on Murray to carry the offense so when he struggles the entire team falls apart. The Mavericks showed how it’s done by putting Kyrie next to Luca. Put a 20 point score who can drive to the basket next to Murray and Denver will be right back in the conference finals next year
@@SDesWriter You can't just replace KCP with PAUL GEORGE 😂😂😂 that's like getting rid of a frozen Domino's Pizza for a fresh pizza straight from Naples. And if they sign him in FA their bench is not going to exist anymore dawg
Last time we were this good, I bought a pair of kg bounce shoes. It had sealy references on them, chicago references on them, and more. This was 20 years ago. Howl chuck, howl.
Mavs in 3 lol. Seriously....Dallas has a lot more offensive firepower to worry about than what Denver had. This will be a high-scoring series w Dallas winning it in 6 games on a last second shot from Luka or Kyrie. Maxi Kleber will play again and provide much needed bench strength.
No it absolutely will not be a high scoring series at all. Wolves no. 1 defense all year expect since the trade. Mavs no. 1 since so this is basically the 1 & 2 defenses going head-to-head. That's how they both got here!
Mavs defense is much better than the Nuggets. While the offense may be a little less than the nuggets, i think Mavs have more ways to out pressure on them. Hoping for a great series.
I'm glad that Chuck picked the wolves, every round he's been picking whoever is playing against the Mavs & the Mavs keep winning & I don't see that changing in the WCF... keep on howling Chuck & in the Finals I hope that you pick against the Mavs again!! HAHAHA
You know the last time Chuck counted us out you saw what happened. This what we need go against the grain. About to be a magical 6 games series with the Mavs in the finals.
Chuck remembering the old Wolves had me laughing. That was also a good time to be a Twolves fan. You even see them around downtown, a bar and grill or MoA. I actually saw Wally Szczerbiak at the downtown library, using one of the computers. '01. Just walking through the library and see him. Double take like, 'What the hell?".
Mavs got this. People said who wud want to play with Luka…. These guys play like they wud diefor him 💯 and Kyries’ in the background like Yoda killin in close out games. They understand the assignment fully and 4 days of rest only helps
The Timberwolves haven’t played this version of the Mavericks. Unlike Murray, Luka and Kyrie aren’t bothered by the wing defenders that the TWolves have and the depth the Mavs have will be better than the Mavericks. They did well to beat the Nuggets which I didn’t see coming. I think Mavs in 6/7 but it’s gonna be close.
If Mavs win, I’ll look back and laugh at these guys. But no doubt T Wolves are a force. Really wanted to see Joker vs Luka in a series. But the T Wolves have so much energy in a bottle, and no doubt, great coaches.
I remember at the beginning of mavs and okc series, Shaq said okc can beats mavs easily but they were wrong. And now you can see all of this mf stand with Minnesota. You will see mother f...
As Luka fan i prefer Denver, cuz if Murray chokes they have no chance, and he choked alot, Jokic just cant do it alone, and them being gassed showed even in 1st series against LA. Having no bench is a game changer. I just feel like if Jokic gets 40/20/10 they are still beatable this year.
