@@Amuzic amader Esplanade (blue line) ta Soviet inspired build by the erstwhile Left Goverment. While the new Esplanade (green line) is inspired by Japanese/Chinese/Newyork. Entry system theke, building itself everything will look completely different like you would be entering a different era when changing stations.

@@msasociality সোভিয়েত ধাঁচের মেট্রো স্টেশন গুলো অনেক অন্য রকম হতো তাদের স্থাপত্য ও শিল্পে দুটোতেই। সেই তুলনায় নীল লাইনের ধর্মতলা স্টেশনটি অনেকটাই minimalist যেই শিল্পের জনপ্রিয়তা এশিয়ার মেট্রো স্টেশন গুলো তে পরে খুব দেখা গিয়েছিল। আর আমরা জানি সোভিয়েতের থেকেও লাইন ১ মেট্রো লাইন টি জাপান ও পশ্চিম ইউরোপের থেকে অনেক বেশি অনুপ্রাণিত, যেটার প্রভাব নন এসি মেট্রোর রেক গুলো তেও দেখা যেত যার কামড়া গুলো টোকিওর ৭০ এর দশকের মেট্রো ট্রেন গুলোর মত আর মাদ্রিদ আর রোমের মেট্রোর মত জানলা গুলো।

I entered from Gate 5 to get into green line and somehow I felt like I was walking and walking. Not sure if it is bigger in area (sqft) than Howrah. Can anyone confirm ?

Those red tiles on the walls and floors look ugly. Would look more classy without those red tiles to create patterns on the walls and floors (plain & simple). Would also be great to put up Bengali artworks at the entry and exit only without flooding the entire station interior with a load of artworks.

They are connected. It's in this video only. Both green and blue line Esplanade station as well as Kavi Subhas Blue and Orange line stations are connected through tunnels.
