They key to that season for us was defense and Thomas Jones. They would have won the Super Bowl If they just kept feeding him in the ball instead of letting Rex throw the game away. The man had 100+ yards on 15 carries. 🤷🏻♂️
This was before I started watching bears football, it's a Damn shame they lost to the Colts. Ah well, hopefully the Bears can win a ring in the next couple seasons.
As a Bears fan, I actually do appreciate the fact that it was the Colts instead of the Patriots. Hadn't it been for the Colts, the Patriots probably would have had their revenge with a 77-0 blowout and eclipsing the 1940 Bears.
Also a NW IN guy. People from far away assumed all of Indiana was rooting for the Colts. Little did they know NW IN touches Chicago. It's Chicago Territory while Indianapolis was 3 hours away. So myself and most others were GO BEARS!
@@jayzee7538Grew up in Hobart here in Indiana... Even though it was technically Bears territory there were plenty of fairweather Colts fans around here rooting for Peyton Manning. That's what drove me insane about the Colts more than anything.
It feels good to be looking forward to a Bears season again. I see a Dynasty in the making here. We finally have top young talent at all the skill positions and then some. We are deep everywhere. What a good time to show off this team of future HALL OF FAMERS than the hall of fame game. See you at training camp.

If we had a decent Quarter Back we would have won the Super Bowl. Defense wins Champions. Don’t underestimate the Bears this year . There is a good chance we will win everything this year.
@ 7:50 Desmond Clark blocking even after the play seems dead helps get Thomas Jones in the end zone. You can’t even get that out of the O-Line today. Put at least Trubisky in the 06 squad he would’ve helped get that championship
Robert Kvacik I’m sure you are a Bears fan. Look at the record of teams they beat that year and how weak the NFC playoffs were that year. They beat the 9-7 Seahawks and the 10-6 Saints in the playoffs. The real super bowl that year was The Patriots vs. Colts AFC title game and everyone outside of Chicago knew it. Rex Grossman at QB.... yeah the Bears were a real powerhouse lol. You go learn football outside of being a Bears homer.
