I still remember that September 1992 day. Back in the day, I traveled a lot on PIAs A300. What a fine aircraft it was. I found it better than the A310 Airbus version. Now all these aircraft versions are replaced with much modern and safer planes. PIA was really the best back in the 70s and 80s. I flew PIA back then at least 15 times. Now the airline is in total shambles. What a shame, we have never learnt to take care and look after our national assets.

Very Interesting Video My Elder Brother was also in Pakistan Navy aviation Branch also served as Pilot. In 1980 Navy buy first time Helicopters for Pakistan Navy my Brother was selected in first Pilot Training Programe from British Royal Navy He Flyer Also C130 for a short Period. Was Retired as JCO Ranking Officer.also served as Radar Controller in UAE ARMY. This reason I have a lot of interest in Aviation. Tryed in 1984 to take the comission as Cadet but could not pass the second Exam.😢 Best wishes from Germany.

Ref Beijing to Islamabad flight, in my humble opinion, descend clearance to FL 095 was ambiguous and given too early. It was assumed that the pilots would commence the descend to 9500 ft after following the STAR profile. Assumptions in aviation can prove wrong and lead to accidents. It proved wrong in this case too. It was an IFR flight. The plane should been controlled at each cascading reporting point on Batal 2A. Further, 9500 ft is a VFR altitude; the aircraft should have been been given an even FL.

Yes I do. Like pilots, controllers make mistakes too. Just few days back, in Portland USA, 2 aircraft took off simultaneously from parallel runways 29L & 29R. Upon takeoff, the controller turned the aircraft on RIGHT to 340. Instead, the aircraft on the LEFT acknowledged the instruction and started turning into the aircraft on the RIGHT. It was a near miss. Pilots on both aircraft faulted, and so did the controller who did not notice that the wrong aircraft acknowledged his instruction. پی آئی اے کے حالات بہت برے بتائے جاتے ھیں۔ ایک قابل فخر ائیر لائن کی یہ حالت دیکھ کر دل خون کے آنسو روتا ھے۔ ان دنوں دوبئی میں پی آئی اے کے پائلٹس کی شاندار کارکردگی کے بارے میں سن کر بہت خوشی ھوئی کہ جہاں دنیا کا کوئی پائلٹ اڑان بھرنے کو تیار نہیں تھا صرف پی آئی اے ھی پرواز کر رھی تھی۔ پی آئی اے زندہ باد۔
