Inside The UK's Most Expensive Food Store | Fortnum & Mason At Easter 

What I noticed different with Easter in America versus the UK is that you guys have a lot of chocolate chickens. I've never seen a chocolate chicken here in America. You see chocolate bunnies all over the place. A lot of different types of ornate chocolate Easter eggs. And Easter baskets are extremely huge with the youth.

Happy belated 100k Subscriber day! Really, it comes down to your authentic charm, willingness to record in shops and cafes and restaurants in order to take us along and most importantly (at least to me) your love of your home. I'm a Los Angeles native, and like any other major metropolitan city, there's good and bad and it gets amplified by news and media. But to love the city you live in and really take pleasure and pride in showing people around - even virtually - is not a super common attitude many have. My favorite moments are when you pause and gush over little architectural moments in otherwise simple buildings and interiors. Your appreciation of what makes London unique above and beyond the usual hyper scripted tourist fluff is refreshing and endearing. Thank you!!

Delightful tour! Back in 1971, I was 22 (& U.S.), I stayed with cousins in their Surrey home where at afternoon Tea my cousin would offer me a choice of "Indian tea or China tea." Not knowing one tea from another, I opted for China tea, which is the smoky Lapsang Souchong. Before returning home, I wanted to get a tin to take home to my Mom, and they sent me to F&M in London to make my puchase. That tea became a favorite treat for Mom and me over subsequent years. But the last time I tried to restock, just after covid lockdown, from a supplier in NYC I got home with 10# of gasoline-adulterated tea. 😳 So now I only enjoy the memory - which is always linked with that 1971 trip to F&M! 😋

I love the Fortnum and Mason vlogs! I would love to go and try all the treats and teas! I want to buy all of the Alice in Wonderland set. I don’t know how you walked out with out a mug or something. ❤

Tea at F&M is one of 3 must-stops the day when we arrive in London. F&M, Simon Carter and George Trumper in Curzon Street settle us in the UK.

Chocolate Easter Eggs started at the french Court of Louis xiv, but it was the Italians that started the hollow egg tradition by pouring molten chocolate inside an empty chicken egg shell, letting the chocolate settle, and then cracking the chicken egg shell. The chocolate egg was late in coming to britain, 1873 was the first recording, but Cadbury industrialized the process, and from 1875, chocolate egg production soared.

There are Easter Eggs in the US though smaller selection. Treats etc go into a basket. F&M is full of deliciousness and cute decor!

Instead of savings lives, you could save some easter eggs before expiration. It must be a downer for shopkeepers to check the expiration date of their products. I watched a video of a French pastry chef. The work that goes into it, and you don't know how many will sell.

Hannah, This was a great video. I absolutely love Fortnum and Mason. When my husband and I visited we spent a few hours there. We drink our morning breakfast tea out of the cups and saucers we bought there. Each year we buy a years worth of tea and we have an account. The other amazing thing is they ship to the US so quickly!! I love their selection of honey as well. I need to watch your high tea video at Fortnum's. In the US, we fill plastic eggs for Easter egg hunts. I have been in that store at Christmas 1 year and loved it.
