What a lovely place to shop! I liked that not everything was being forced upon you, and the staff were so friendly to you. I think that’s very telling of what they want from their staff and how they treat the staff too. Thanks so much for the tour. I feel like we walked around together, had a mooch, and then sat down for lunch. Haha thanks again 🧡🧡

After our first trip to the Baltic, we took 10 days in London to decompress. We spent one day just wandering from store to store, Self's, Harrod', Nichols, Liberty, Peter Jones and ended up in Fortnum's for afternoon tea. The October weather couldn't have been more perfect, the throngs of people, the luxury goods. My Kind of Fun.

Crikey, how did I miss this? I can't think of Harvey Nics without remembering Ab Fab! (Patsy was obsessed). I haven't been in years either so it was nice rediscovering it through your eyes. Agree the VM is calm and inviting; I'm often put off by Selfridges because it's so noisy and chaotic; too much going on at once. This was GORGEOUS.

Loving the nail colour and agree that the real UK Autumn is late this year. I put my bathroom heating on for the first time today (4/11) and I actually wore a light long sleeved jumper, tights and a padded jacket when I went out first thing. There was a real chill in the air (down here in Devon)

As a foodie I wish posh department stores in the US would have a food hall in them. I always find it so fascinating that stores in the UK offer that!

Nail colour on point. 💅 It's unseasonably warm at the moment which probably accounts for the leaves still green. I had lunch at Hestons Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Highly recommended. Harvey Nichs is usually very quiet these days when I went in there recently. Take a selfie with the glasses on. Gives you a better idea of how they look on you. They are nice now in Harvey Nichs because they are desperate for your business. They never used to be that nice when they were busier. They used to be really snooty in their heyday. I don't know how they are staying open but I guess if you have billionaire owners, you can afford to haemorrhage money. Pleats for days. 😂 I like that expression. That ring is so beautiful. It really suits you.

This was definitely a treat and the fact the staff was so friendly and down to earth was a plus! Hate when someone gets in your space or starts offering a million products. Certainly refreshing to experience a department store that lets a customer browse and make up their own minds. The store is just set up in a very modern and practical way. Noticing that furry trend even in the more affordable stores...actually saw something very familiar for men at Wal-Mart and at 24.99 it's a way to wear the look and not cringe if we hate the look as the price did not break us. 😅

Hi, Hannah! I went to uni in Leeds and whenever I needed a break would go into Harvey Nicks to immerse myself in the antithesis of student life. Thanks for taking me back! Don’t get me wrong, love your tours through Poundland and Tesco, but always appreciate how you bring new perspectives to these luxury tours given your professional background. Such a revelation learning about Burberry’s red line placement in their check pattern! And always lap up your attention to details like buttons, dipped ends, sewing styles and the absurdity of having a heavy metal chain adorn a sun hat. You’ve referenced other UK influencers who get stuff like champagne and clothes, and I’m pretty sure I’ve watched their videos. But you’re the only one I subscribe to.
