It’s funny how short guys get bullied for being short… but they ALSO get bullied for doing something about it. I’m 5’9, and if money wasn’t an issue, I’d be FIRST in line to do this!

I’ll make an example of why I understand men that would do this using my own experiences. I’ve always considered myself lucky as I believe I’m good looking, healthy and well built at 5ft 6, exactly average in my home country, but then I moved to Norway, and average height for guys is 5ft 11 and women’s is 5ft 7. My whole life I never cared enough about my height to actually measure it myself, I just went with the measurements of my last doc appointment after my teen years. (I miss being this comfortable with myself) That changed when I got here, of course I noticed the difference myself but it was more that I was fascinated by the average Norwegians build, the “blue eyes and blond hair” is actually a thing. Turns out fascination of height, skin, hair and other things go both ways, BUT they like to make a point of it and discuss my differences with little consideration. The truth is sometimes I stand in a room of over 50 people and I still the shortest in the room, as well as my only one different skin. I learned quickly to love myself as I am, and that it’s no one else’s responsibility to love and or like the way you are. I’d imagine other men that are far below average height feel this way. There is no “body positivity” for guys, it’s more of “tough luck” support system and some would do anything to change their luck, and I don’t blame them.

Dating competition is ruthless and cutthroat. If this needs to be done, we are in a crazy time. But you gotta do what you gotta do to appease women.

People are just mad that height can be paid now before technology this wasnt possible because of higher complications

I’m 5’9 and I always thought it was average height but professional industries and women view height the same way. The taller you are the more masculine you are in there eyes

It's good to note that if you're under 18 and your growth plates are still open you don't need surgery. Doctor's can prescribe HGH to help a person still in the growth phase grow taller.

I'm about 5'11 and wish I could have this done. The cost is very high though, but it also looks to be painful and a long recovery process. I don't know, having grown up in Turkey I never felt like I was judged for my height. The fixation around height in men appears to be primarily a western phenomenon, primarily more American and British. I'm not sure why this is, but, there are nations where height doesn't determine your worth as a man.

This surgery is not worth it for just 2 inches. Just wear inserts. It would only be worth it for 4-5 inches.

5ft 5in IS, at the very least, near average, and that IS enough. If you, as an adult male in the US, you need to be shorter than 5'00" to be more than three standard deviations below the mean.

The problem is also that when he sat down and interviewed with the lady you could tell he was as short… now it just looks odd that the limbs don’t exactly match. No hate it just looks off

I'm 6'4 1/2". Don't need this procedure and have enough trouble finding clothes that fit well.
