For reference; when Elise is using the gas mask, she is mimicking sleeping. When we are in deep sleep, our bodies are basically on the verge of death. We breath very slow and not as often. Elise was slowing her breathing in order to mimic sleep so she could enter the further. It does look a bit odd, but the attention to detail is superb!

Ok all the sequels are totally worth watching. This franchise is SO good. I don't understand how it's not in the conversation for great horror franchises - it's so fun.

Insidious 2 is a direct sequel with the same family. 3 - Prequel with Elise. 4 - Prequel with Elise but right before the first one. 5 - (Comes out this year) 10 years later with the family in 1 and 2. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!

Same. The 80s thriller nods were, actually, chilling. When that red face appeared behind the character, I nearly walked out. lol. This and paranormal activity in theater was INSANE.

This was one of the first movie dates my husband and I had, the screaming in the theater for every jump scare was amazing. We basically ran to the damn car afterwards because no demon was gonna snatch me in the parking lot 😂

Any time I see that monster from the thumb nail, I always imagine that Darth Maul from Star Wars has fallen on tough times and needs to find roles in other movies so he decided to get a part in a horror movie.

This movie always creeped me out so much cause as a small child I would have nightmares every single night from till I was like 7-9. And then my mom and me came up with this specific prayer/chant and we did it every single night and that stopped the nightmares.

35:06 I think what they were going for is the fact that all of the other entities seem to either ignore or just not notice Josh, so when Josh gets really up close to one and then she all of a sudden chooses to blink, shows josh they ARE aware of him, and they are most likely doing it on purpose. Hence the music stinger.

I love this movie. Every sequel is worth watching in this franchise and the fifth one comes out this year and Dalton looks so grown up. I LITERALLY just saw the Dalton actor in The Whale and he did a great job.

You are like the only channel that I've seen other than one notice the jigsaw reference which is insane because it's one of leigh wanell and James wan most famous projects together. They also made this franchise as you more than likely know. Leigh wanell also stars in this movie as specs, also the score is written by Joseph Bashira and he also plays the red faced demon

The duo.. James Wan and Leigh Whannel love old movies.. most of their films are tribute to all movies.. similar concept but opposite storyline.. Dead Silence, Death Sentece, even their solo movie.. Leigh (Upgrade, InvisibleMan), James wan (Malignant)

Insidious is such a blast of a franchise. Starts out as exceptionally effective haunted house horror, then the second half of the film on to the rest of the series gets way less scary but way more fun and inventive. The Further dimension makes me think of what the Nightmare on Elm Street remake should have been with its dreamworld sequences.

My younger brother used to have night terrors growing up. It was so scary and heartbreaking to witness. He would walk/run around the house crying hysterically, saying mommy. He eventually grew out of them! It broke my heart seeing him like that 😢

"I need every room lit." Well, then you're gonna' HATE "Sinister." Dude in that movie literally like **refuses** to **ever** turn on a light, even when creepy sh!t is going down. Seriously, watch the entire movie and that one detail will ruin it for you, 'cause you'll just be thinking, "bruh! flip the damn light switch on to make sure it ain't some creepy old dude in a monster mask like in Scooby Doo..." That was almost likterally my thought process throughout the entire movie Sinister. "Bruh, will you please turn on a light switch? How 'bout this time? Now? How 'bout now? Still no? Bruh, how dumb are you? FLIP ON A LIGHT SWITCH!!" ;)

I hate to break it to you guys, but I had literally a ton of things shoved under my bed, including a closed container and several books and stuffed animals, and I still had something grab my ankle as a joke in the middle of the night while I was talking to my best close friend 🤣😭☠️ Even knowing now, in hindsight, that it was meant in jest does nothing for it the absolute fear I felt in having it be similar to that bed scene from the Grude. Just found your channel! 👋 When the demon crawled along the wall chasing Dalton and Cody said "Our dog going for dinner", it reminded me of the first time I saw this movie, which was in theaters. I was NOT a horror fan back then and was fighting for my life the whole time, hiding behind my jacket and missing 90% of the plot. After the Further scene, I was in tears and my friend asked if I wanted to leave. I said no, but was still clearly not enjoying myself. When the demon crawled along the wall, my friend went "It's Pogo!" (I had a Boston terrier/Chihuahua mix of that name at the time who was known to be a little psychotic). This is the first time since then that I've heard someone make a joke about their dog at that part! 🤣(RIP Pogo, my little demon) ❤

Now for Chapter 2 🤩 Go go! 🙌 Chapter 3 and 4 are prequels, and Chapter 5 (release date in July 2023) is the direct sequel to 1 and Chapter 2 🙌 But all the movies are connected. I like the first and second movie best, and hope the upcoming one is good too! 🌼

Walmart has AWESOME Lava-lamps for $10,..I bought my daughters each one, all sorts of colors and combinations and then base & tops are brushed silver or aluminum, really nice looking and they work amazingly. It’s mesmerizing to watch! I’d always wanted one too so when I came across them recently I had to buy my girls them , great highlights honesty, have one in my room. On the movie, you’ve got to see the next 2 becasue they explain everything about this one in the most rewarding way!
