Because I am Dutch and English is not my mother tongue. I was in the UK so my ear was trained to the British accent but I studied in the US so sometimes that comes through and I myself don't really hear the difference when I deliver a talk ;) does this explain it?

I have to agree with everything she said, I'm the oldest of 5 and I definitely behave that way. My younger siblings also fit their positions. I probably need to work on my blind spots
