The inspector's opening remarks, and his recollection of his opening remarks, diverged greatly in a few short minutes. How many times have police officers made similar mistakes, then written up notes after an incident, and later read them out in court under oath? This shows why every interaction with the police should be recorded and our right to film them should never be taken away.

An inspector so used to badgering the public he got a shock when he came up against a professional. It took a while for it to sink in, but when it did he tried pretty well to recover. Telling him that you had experienced Terrorism Section 23; and won, was a very sobering moment for him. Now is the time become professional he thinks, but way too late you numpty. Great work AB. Mind you some credit to him to be running a station where not one officer was wearing the thin blue line shows he is trying... a bit anyway. Great work mate (AB).

This is a perfect example of why police statements are unreliable evidence, and why video evidence is essential. This inspector had an image in his mind that was totally different to his actions. He didn't open a friendly line of communication, he was aggressive and attempted to incriminate ABs actions. He stated he was 'very confident' in what he said, but he was 100% wrong. The police should use this video in their training as an example of how not to approach the public.

You treated him like a suspect without reasonable suspicion. Wouldn't it be nice if every officer approaching a member of the public would start with, "Good afternoon, sir/ma'am/miss. I'm PC Robertson with the Cheltenham Station. We noticed you taking photographs outside our police parking area. May I ask why ..." In short: salutation/ identification including name, rank, and station/why you're making contact or inquiry. This would reduce citizen fear and/or antagonism and more likely lead to a non-confrontational conversation. This officer did not do any of this, and very few do.

YO AB, you're absolutely right the cop was making it up as he went along, he didn't say are you alright, he didn't say sir to start with, I checked back as soon as he mentioned it. Id be concerned about a cop lying and twisting things just so he can slap a charge on you, and the said post was about 4ft tall and 4" wide so what's that going to hide? 😁 🤭 100% and he's very confident that he's telling the truth?? I like the way you made him change his deminer and it was all good in the end. Much respect to the Auditing Britain Organisation 🤭 keep up the good work bro!! P. S. He don't like cameras yet he's wearing one and surrounded by many everywhere he goes...

Morning AB from Canada . Funny how you got the Inspector to change his demeanor into a cordial conversation and letting him know where he goes wrong .
@farhad1uk
@farhad1uk Месяц назад
The inspector would have earned himself respect if he simply admitted that his initial approach was wrong and apologized but he went on and on to twist the facts. He only backed off because he realized that AB knows his stuff and can't be messed with. An average member of the public would have faced a different outcome.

I CANNOT WAIT for the "Inspector" to see his approach. Just what AB told him, there was no Sir initially. Straight into you are loitering, etc, etc..... Nothing close to his recollection. What a great demonstration of why AB is out there educating "Inspectors" and others in the law. Shame it is required but just about all of AB's videos show that it is. Much love AB.
