It's good but the Stone Roses put 'Mersey Paradise' on the back of 'She Bangs the Drums'. Not just the best combination of songs, but two of the best songs ever written in my opinion. Having them on one record is just too much to handle! LOL
In the UK it was shoegaze which came to the fore after madchester and later that gave way to britpop. It wasn't really very amazing that the scene moved on and changed.
