One detail for Stage 5 (tightening the cables) at 10:45. Make sure the end of the cable with the red, rubber tab is hooked onto the sliding carriage before rotating the cam to raise the top plate. Otherwise the loose cable will just feed slack and you will not achieve a tight cable.

I installed this by myself. Took a few breathers as it took some strength to attach the middle and top pull up bar in place by balancing on shoulder/neck while using my hands to find bolt holes, insert bolts to each bar frames. I agree with another commenter that I would bolt the chrome poles to frame first as they are hard to navigate the bolts through the chrome poles when gooped up to turn the poles then finding the hole on the other side of the frame. Was successful for one of the sides but the other, will need another person to help or drill out the hole as it doesn't appear to align. As a 66 yo lady, doing this install was fun and excellent instructions to follow. Thank you.

My 15 year old son and myself just finished assembling this machine. It took us about 5 hours to get it done from unpacking till the end. Make sure you clean the space and everything is visible. Note: Please make sure the tension cables are in their respective place before you setup the tension pulleys above the weights, otherwise you may not get any tension in the cables. At the end everything aligned correctly and the machine works and feels solid. Cannot wait to start using it 👌🏽🙏🏽

7:30 In Step 4, put the bolts through the weight guide rods at the bottom before stacking the weights (and only tighten them at the end after the weights are on and the top part is set). It is a huge PITA to try to put the bolts through afterwords.
@j3tman
@j3tman Год назад
I tried this and unfortunately had to remove the bolts because I had the rods sticking outward, so they couldn’t swing under the frame once it came time to lock them in place. Maybe it works if you keep the rods hanging on the inside. Agree it sucks trying to lift the rods while they are all greased up. Using a dry washcloth helped me with grip.

This video was super helpful. The only issue I encountered when assembling was the bottom holes where you bolt the shiny weight bars through the frame, 3 of the bolt holes were slightly misaligned. I tried to put the bolt in with and without the bar too and still could not get it through both sides. I took a step drill bit and opened up the hole maybe 1/8" and it fit perfectly. Easy fix but that's something that you might hear about. Absolutely love the machine, the family is already using it consistently.
@JoshSauberman

Having the same problem. The bolt holes are misaligned and the bolt doesn't go through. I'd call this a really significant problem. At the moment I have this giant machine in my garage and can't do it thing with it because I can't get these bolts through because of misaligned bolt holes. Truth is, problems like this are infuriating.

I had the same issue, or so I thought. On one side of the weight stack the bolts went through just fine, but the other side seemed misaligned. I took the weights off and checked with just the chrome bar, and the bolt went through perfectly. I put the weights back on and the problem came back, I could not get the bolt through. Then I realized that the chrome bar has a little room to move inside the bottom frame hole. The weight stack had moved the chrome bar to one side of the frame hole causing the misalignment. I pushed the weight stack to center the chrome bars in their placement holes and voila the bolts fit perfectly. No drilling necessary for me thankfully. The real pain is painting the lubricant on the chrome bars with a mini nail polish brush (someone's idea of a joke).

Not counting the 10mm and Allen wrenches. Fortunately I have a ton of tools but it should still have the right tools included.

@InspireFitnessCA
@InspireFitnessCA 2 года назад
Hello Eric! We recommend 89 inches of workable floor space, to lay out parts and work through the entire assembly. But you're right that the unit is 59 wide, once assembled. Complete dims are 59 in wide x 46 in deep x 84 in tall. You could put it in a corner, or flat up against a wall.

They clearly messed up on the width and need to simply add a note in the video. As it is, their width line starts and ends at the ends of the machine, making it the reference for the 89".

Hey Inspire, 1. Thanks for the video!!! Easy - breezy video install accomplished by myself. 2. Any chance you offer the F2's overhead wide-grip pulldown attachment as a modified, after-market accessory to retrofit the SF3? If not yet, how soon will you? Regrettably, I didn't think to visit the website first before buying the SF3 through Costco and setting it up myself yesterday! : I'm a 5'5, 50's + year old woman, and day 2, I am already disappointed that I don't have the true, organic feel of the center, wide-grip/pulldown attachment. It lets me build big muscles which I then, in turn, pick stuff up, and put it down. :0))
@InspireFitnessCA
@InspireFitnessCA Год назад
Hello! Just in case you haven't already tried the dual hook curl bar attachment, you are able to perform the pull down, but it won't be the center one you're looking for. Another option would be to purchase the three hole aluminum lat bar to attach to one pulley on the SF3, although you would be limited with weight. There are no current plans for that attachment for the SF3, but I will share your feedback with our product development team!

@hawaiisaladdays
@hawaiisaladdays 2 года назад
could this still be installed in a place with an 88" ceiling height?
@InspireFitnessCA
@InspireFitnessCA 2 года назад
Hi there! We recommend the 96" to allow space above to machine for installation, such as the pull-up bar, which is the tallest point on the machine. It is possible to be installed in a space with 88" ceilings, 96" is our recommendation for optimal space. Keep in mind when doing pull-ups, you will have about 4" of space.
