Thanks for the tutorial. You have some great tutorials I've used alot. 🙂👍 I did the matterport scan with the insta360 OneR and the quality and dynamic range was not that good. Do you think the Insta360 One inch edition is much better? How does it compare to the matterport Pro 2 camera?
great tutorial. I still have the insta360 one R. Do you know if in the final result of the model there is much difference in quality between the 1-inch and the one R? or practically matterport shows the result in a similar quality? I'm interested in knowing if it's worth buying the 1-inch. thanks!!
Hi, It depends on. On Matterport your nadir will be blurred automatically, and if you shoot with a monopod like I do, those tiny legs won't be visible. If you create your tour with other , you can retouch your photos before uploading (or some of the virtual tour editors have automatic nadir correction). In such case I use Photoshop in most of the times, erasing the legs in 360 mode.
@@GabaVR thanks for the quick response! Is it possible in Matterport? Upload photos after retouching? It will be great if you shot a small tutorial about this)
Thank you! Unfortunately, the scanning process with Matterport is entirely automatic, which means that you cannot edit your photos. Matterport utilizes your camera to scan the 360 space in 3D and generates the virtual model accordingly. Modifying the photos could result in errors in the modeling process.
@@GabaVR I already have an RS, but the details of Pilot Era is great, as I saw somewhere, you can upload panos ta the app, so I thought there is a way to use even DSLR generated panos, but am not sure. Thanx again
I'm using insta360 X3 and the quality is not great but ok. I think in HDR it's 18MP not 72MP. how much is it in the One RS 1"? to see if it's worth the upgrade
The 1Inch captures in lower resolution (at least in megapixels). In practice it has better image quality thanks to the bigger sensors and better quality Leica lenses. But in the Matterport app you don't have access to camera settings, so it will capture everything totally automatically.
Is the tripod removed from the final image in the Matterport model? I currently use a Ricoh Z1 and X, but I do like the video features on the insta camera.
In the dollhouse it will be totally removed automatically. In the 360 virtual tour the nadir will be blurred out, so you won't see the tripod neither. However it's basically caused by the blur.
Hello, Im using matterport 1 for 8 years, now i have a job for outdoor and im thinking in insta360 RS one and 3Dvista, do you think if choose 360 can i make the virtual tour with no 3D / Dollhose but the normal tour only with 360 images?
Sure, basically you can take simple photos with One RS, and use them to create normal virtual tours, too, however I would recommend to shoot such tours with a DSLR or MILC. But if you can check out the image quality for yourself, and you find it satisfying and appropriate for that certain project, you can absolutely go on with it. In manual mode you'll get full control over all the settings and the 1-inch sensors with Leica lenses can deliver the best image among all the Insta360 cameras.
@@GabaVR I tryed with my iphone because dont have yet the one RS, If i align the 360 images, the tour will be normal with the circles to navigate ? I have a matterport account so dont want to pay for the 3DVista software yet.Thank You!
Well, basically it should be there even when no camera is attached to the phone. It’s down there next to the shutter button in the Options menu. Are you missing this button?
