I would have used tapcon screws those plastic anchors sometimes don't drip well and I've had issues with they would start spinning when you put the screw in
Any suggestions for a locking solution for this door? I just finished installation and the locking kit I bought from Bilco doesn't work with the Ultra series, apparently they don't make a lock (terrible design?!). I'm gunna be so furious if someone steals everything in my basement...
Great video very detailed info. I will take the suggestion from a viewer that suggested tapcon screws. Only question now is what were the measurements of the old door. Not sure how to figure out if this door will fit without taking the old one off first. 🤔
Thanks for the video. My old steel cellar doors are like yours & yesterday one side came away from house. The wood behind it has rottened. How do I handle that 1st to install the new cellar door unit? Also, what was name of resin-plastic unit you used? Thanks, Rhonda
@@Ebaytopseller As long as the main entrance door to enter the basement is secure, it shouldn't be a problem. If someone wants to get into your house, they'll get into your house regardless of this type of door.
