This MIB Intelligent Android system is especially designed, suitable for your vehicle, as long as your car is based on MQB platform and its factory radio screen is 6.5/8.0/9.2 inch(in dashboard) with MIB mechanism (in your glove box, refer to the above video). Great video and very clean upgrade of factory unit. But since i don't spend too much time in my car and i usually just listen radio in my daily commute i find that kind of upgrade little expensive. In any case this modul is way better to install on your car unit instead replacing it with some no name aftermarket LCD units.

Great video! One question: You can't use internet when you're connected to the OBD module, correct? Ideally I would like to be able to see various OBD info when driving while still listening to Spotify. But by the looks of it, that's not possible?

Hello. The original microphone of the car goes through the main power socket, so once the socket is connected then the Android unit will use the car's microphone.

Installed this on My Passat B8. Working well. Only problem is sound quality is very poor, Could be because of the AUX usage. Any work around ? I was thinking about getting a USB Bluetooth adapter and pair to MIB2 via Bluetooth.

I have no problem with the sound, it works perfectly and sounds as good as the original sound. Check the cable connection again and if you don't solve the problem tell to the seller.

Hi. I have same module in my Superb 3 and i have a problem with memory losing every time i turn off car. So it needs to give extra stable +. Do you know how it make? I see few extra cables : Camera, Camera front, Reversei, SPK(double white with connector, no idea what for) and B+Battery. And i think need this B+Battery gave extra + to hold memory in android box. But i dont know where. Any ideas? :)

Hi there, I need to install in my 2015 Octavia the same 10-inch Android radio you demonstrated in one of your previous videos but I have only 2 cables at the back of the screen (just like in this video) instead all the wires you showed in your video. Can you tell me what these 2 cables are for (I know the bigger one is for power but what about the thin one on the side)? I contacted the seller who told me that I need to use the power cable from the back of the CD player so what I am going to do with these 2 cables? Shall I leave them both disconnected? Thank you

Hi. Remove the power plug and antenna connector from the back of the CD drive and connect it the Android drive sockets. No need to connect the cables from the original screen.

@@Adrian_AFD Hi thank you for replying. Behind the cd drive there is a mustard colour connector, a pink connector and a small black connector. Do you know what they are for? I guess one is for the standard usb but I have no idea which is which (I have the Bolero with phone connectivity and no satnav)...I'm only asking because if I use the power plug from the cd drive it will stop working and I don't know if the other connectors have some kind of important function?

Hello I've bought a original skoda touchscreen from 2017 octavia and i have a 2014 octavia elegance with a radio and really small screen but when i took the screen off. The cables didn't match they have to like the cables you have in this video but my screen has a headunit connected just behind the screen and the power cable is a quad harness. Salut! M-a ajutat foarte mult tutorialul tău. Am instalat cu succes unitatea android pe o Skoda Octavia 3 2015, Columbus, MIB1. Dar am o problemă. Am cameră spate, dar nu am imagine când intru în marșarier. Am văzut că are cablurile pt. cameră, dar nu știu unde trebuie introdus acel cablu. Mai trebuie un adaptor? Dacă da, de unde fac rost? Hello. It is not possible to listen to the original car radio and receive voice instructions from Google Maps on the Android Module. But you can do something else, listen to online radio from the Android Module (I use the Tune IN application) and then you will hear the voice instructions from Maps but also online radio, that's how I use it.

@@Adrian_AFD Hey. After reading a few forums, I found a way to listen to the original radio and use Google Map navigation to make it sound. For this to work, we have to go to Android settings, select Car Settings, then Orig Settings, then click Navigation APP Choices and in the opened window we search for navigation, eg Google Map and press Confirm. This way the sounds in Google Maps will work and you will hear them only in the left speaker along with the original sound from the car radio. Checked on VW Touran 2015.

@@rassel4u You need to ask the seller if it is compatible with your audio system, it is probably compatible but you need confirmation from the seller. At Octavia 3, I managed to insert those cables without remove the glove box, so I think it's possible with the Passat B8 as well.

Salut. Nu am văzut unități Android compatibile direct cu sistemul audio Canton, dar din ce stiu exista adaptoare de la semnal audio analogic la semnal audio digital optica asa cum este sistemul Canton de la Octavia. Din pacate nu cunosc mai multe detalii.

Does this box have bluetooth? I would like to connect OBD ELM 327 using Bluetooth. You haven't mentioned about the bluetooth compatibility. And is it possible to pair the box with the factory system using bluetooth to transmit music like it is possible with normal android phones? Not using aux.

Hello, You can use the ELM 327 but only the wifi version. The Bluetooth of this unit is not OBD compatible, it only works via WiFi. I haven't tested if I can connect via the Bluetooth of the Android unit to the original radio, but why would I do it if the sound from the android module reaches the original multimedia system via Aux IN? I have very good sound quality through Aux IN.

@@Adrian_AFD What does it mean that is not OBD compatible? Is it not pairing with the ELM372? I have OBDeleven which needs to be paired using bluetooth. I had a Android radio unit that was able to search but unable to pair with the Bluetooth EM327. It worked only as a slave devices for a phone. Is it the same here?

Ok, box has arrived. Unfortunately, bluetooth is not working as it should. A "BT" app is an only way to get access to the bluetooth. No bluetooth detected by the Android itself, hence no Bluetooth devices detected in any installed 3-rd parties apps, like VagDPF, OBDeleven, Torque. Funny think though, in the "BT" app all devices are visible and can be connected to. But no bluetooth devices on other apps. If any of you have ana access to a full ROM for this devices please let me know. I will try to incorporate a Bluetooth driver in the system. My current ROM file is: MTK1B_C37_GA1_DZSJ_DzZhong-000-EN_2020-05-21-0929. There is also another thing. I have noticed that the sound quality is not very good, mainly because of very poor stereo separation. When play a test sound in each of the channels separately the sound appears also on the other but wit a volume reduced about 50%. Can you verify the same behavior in your box? There is planty of RU-vid videos to test on.

Salutare ! Azi am montat pe Skoda octavia 3 2014 modulul android,mulțumită videoclipului tău destul de ușor, la prima impresie merge bine. L-am depozitat deocamdată in torpedou pentru a avea acces la corpul modulului pentru a instala sim și card de memorie. O singură nelămurire am cu poziția optimă a pinilor. Intrucât nu am putut mări și micșora imaginea, pe ecran, pentru a o incadra , presupun că nu e perfectă poziția pinilor sau este vreo altă setare de făcut. Mulțumesc anticipat pentru lămuriri !

Salut. La mine se inadreaza foarte bine imaginea pe ecranul de la Columbus. In descrierea clipului este un "user manual" de la producator, acolo vei gasi explicata configuratia pinilor.

Mulțumesc foarte mult pentru toate informațiile oferite.Am încercat cu pinul nr 5 in poziția in jos dar ecranul era complet negru după care l-am ridicat și s-a deschis .Nu mi s-a încadrat imaginea pe un site intrând cu google chrome .Mă mai documentez și sper să rezolv problema .

I don't know how you can mix the sound from the original radio with the one from the navigation module, I think that through the comments someone said how it can be done. I prefer to listen to online radio on the module and in this way I also hear the audio indications on the navigation.

Practic aș putea să renunț la cuplajul prin usb cu telefonul și să am toate aplicațiile și internet de pe o cartelă sim introdusă în această interfață? Salut. Interfata Android functioneaza independent si nu transmite informatii catre unitatea multimedia a masinii si nici catre ecranul din cockpit. Este compatibila numai cu masinile din gama VAG.

Hi, I have this very same module DZ-218 running an Android 6. There is an option available to merge original car audio with navigation (Waze, Google Maps, etc). So I listen to the original radio and navigate at the same time without problems. In my unit this option is available under Original Car Option (or similar...) in the Android adjustment menu.

Salutare. Merge fara probleme, masina mea pe care am instalat acest modul este din 2013, are Columbus si sistem audio Canton. Tocmai acest modul este creat sa suplineasca lipsa Smartlink si sa aduca ceva in plus.

Salut Adrian,am achizitionat si eu modulul acesta pentru o Skoda Octavia 2015 dar nu merge. Ecranul este negru,chiar daca am incercat cu butonul numarul cinci coborat sau cu el ridicat. Diferenta pe care am observat-o este ca unitatea mea din torpedo are mai multe mufe decat cea pe care ai prezentat-o.

Trebuie sa activezi functia "Hotspot" pe telefon si sa ai datele pornite, apoi te conectezi la hotspot-ul telefonului prin wifi-ul de pe modul. Ar trebui sa mearga fara probleme.

GPS antena should be in the centre of the windscreen. It tells the system your position on the road, anything eslse than that is bad job!

I put the GPS antenna there because it was easier than bringing it to the center of the dashboard. But do you think that 70-80 cm from the center of the dashboard matters? If so, why does the manufacturer put the original GPS antenna on the ceiling behind the car?

@@Adrian_AFD that's what is wrong too. The antenna should be in the centre and in the front of the vehicle. It matters. When the antenna is at the back, your location on the screen is always 2 meters behind where you are, which is annoying while going through complicated junctions, it tells you to exit roundabout too late etc. Put a mobile in the front centre and compare with a car with antenna in the back.

@@Adrian_AFD eu am modelul bolero cred cu ecran de 6”. Sa pot folosi radio nu tin apasat pe media ci pe phone. E compatibil dar nu total. Inca testez cu sa intru in meniul android pentru ca daca am motorul oprit imi stinge ecranul si nu pot folosi nici o comanda dar radio ramane pornit pe postul respectiv. Si nici volumul nu-l pot modifica
