Install Arlo Video Doorbell Power Kit 

I don't have a chime in my house too, how were u able to use the camera without the chime box?

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with the chime.

Arlo Video doorbell kit doesn't come with the chime box. It only includes powerkit to control the electrical energy coming from the transformer so that you do have an ability to turn on/off the chime everytime the doorbell triggers motion by bypassing the powerkit from O to X and vice versa. You can purchase chime from the third company such as Amazon, Bestbuy, Home Shopping Network, Walmart etc.. Thanks

I would check and see if the wires are touching from the exterior wall to the doorbell. If you live in an older home the insulation on the wire could be missing and the wires could be touching. Also, look to see if the the wires could be touching at the screw wire terminals on the doorbell. If you are missing wire insulation you can use a little bit of electrical tape to cover them.

I think the power kit is os when someone comes to tour door and pushes the outside button, you hear the chime in the house. The.power kit is included in the Arlo Video door bell. We haven't been able to get ours to work. Called customer service and they told us to go buy a transformer. (We already have a transformer connected to our current chime and they said even though it fell within the specs we needed to get a more powerful transformer). So we purchased a more powerful transformer that had 3 options for voltage and our Arlo Video Doorbell still does not work. It continually chimes. I really wanted this to work.

Have you found the solution I have the same problem we even changed the transformer and the chime and still nothing

@@mauricewillis4598 first restart the device then remove the device of the Arlo app after that add it back And then when it tells you what type of chime you want put mechanical

@@jesusbotello6881 Was your camera still working or was the whole doorbell not working? My doorbell was working in the beginning but stopped after 15 minutes. It says it is offline now.

It’s to separate the power draw between the camera turning on and the button being pressed so your chime doesn’t constantly ring every time the cam detects motion.
