All coming together. Definitely want to see a detailed one on the windshield. My Dad and I have a 59 apache we have to change out up in Bankhead. He already cracked a new one, putting in by himself thanks for the video!
Great truck. That is a real head turner. New windshield, with some 2 speed wipers, and some fancy juice squirters. wheels and tires look kool as hell. what a great ride. with a working gas gauge. Now yer just gettin spoiled. Be well.
Looks great Brother Gibs👌 She starts up and runs great and sounds great as well. Front Windshield next, does your Windshield have the Stainless Steel Trim in the Gasket? I'm in the process of getting my Windshield Gasket replaced as well, the first Windshield Company gave up after Cracking the new Windshield and cutting my new Steel Rubber Products Gasket, the Windshield & Gasket is barely setting in the Windshield opening right now, so called person had 40 years of experience replacing Vintage Windshields, but he and his helper failed at installing my 63 10's Windshield with the Stainless Steel Trim Moulding. I hope you have a better Installer than the ones I had. Thanks for another great video. Keep On Trucking Brother Gibs👍...
Its a process to get that windshield in with the stainless steel windshield trim. One guy couldn't do it by himself. So few days later two guys showed up. ASAP glass Still Took a few hours. Rope tape soapy water and a whole lot of slapping. Not to mention the special hooks they used to manipulate the rubber seal and of course scratches. One of the issues is that my windshield is not bent correctly on the passenger side. Kinda sits off the pinch weld a little. I have three if the wide stainless steel windshield trim. Extra. Needs the upper drivers piece. I was missing a couple of connector clips. I made some out of a piece of stainless steel. I do enjoy watching someone put in one of those windshields 😂👍 They cracked a friend of mine right down the middle while installing his.At 4 bills. Wow Good luck 👍
@vm722 The installer had help, but the older man with his so called 40 years experience refused looking at Brother's Truck Auto parts video that shows great tips on installing knee knocker Windshields, that video would have saved a broken Windshield and four hours of getting nothing done. The installer didn't even get the first inner lip of the gasket inside correctly and the outside lip was curdled under, he pulled the rope out way to soon and with his helper pounding on the outside passenger side corner and without the Windshield being centered upped it pushed the Windshield glass edge on an angle right into the spot weld seem and cracked the Windshield in three different directions, it was very a nice and expensive full Green Tint Windshield with the upper dark blue sunshade in the upper part of the Windshield glass, $400 just for the Windshield. The older man was to full of pride to take advice and watch a 17 minute video by Brother's Truck that would have helped him understand that type of Windshield, the Gasket and so much more that could made the installation process much easier and faster... Keep On Trucking Brother👍...
I do have all the original stainless that goes around the windshield for this truck, but I’m not going back with it on this one saving it for a future project. The rubber seal I got is with no stainless.
Gibson: I do not know where you get your fuel senders, but with the unleaded gas in Oregon the brass floats fall apart or at best leak. Then they sink. Change the oil every 3k tune-up 12k and literally change the brass fuel float every six months. Check that on your other pickup.
