This is without a doubt the most professional, complete, straight forward, clear well produced “how to” video I have EVER seen. Wow! It is why I am going to buy and install Rekluse. Hey QQ: I have a Husqvarna FE350. I imagine the install would be the same as this KTM. Yes? Oh and thank you.
Hey Robert, thank you for watching and the kind words. Yes, the install is the same. And if you have any questions, the Rekluse technical help is first rate. Don't hesitate to call them. 208-426-0659
I don't even have a bike and I really enjoyed watching this. I've always had a high regard for KTM, just seeing the quality of hardware, and other little details, now even moreso. I need one !
EXCELLANT video. Beauty supply shops sell plastic squeeze bottles with a flip up nozzle. They cost a few dollars and never spill brake fluid. I use them for all different fluid situations. Great job on that install.
Excellent video! I will be installing my CX next weekend and I will use this video. What about the 10 launch "Run-ins" that Rekluse says must be done to finish the install.process?
Why doesn't Rekluse include the clutch holding tool with the kit? Also, why is it not available to purchase on their website? The most difficult part of this install looks like will be acquiring a Rekluse clutch tool.
One of the best instructional videos I have ever seen. Thank you! You've also convinced me that this is above my pay grade. I'll be taking my 350 XCF-W to the dealer :)
Hey man, if you didnt take it to the dealer yet, I’m here to tell you this is a very simple task. Just time consuming. As long as you have the tools he has in the video you’re more than capable with this video and instructions on the side.
Well, in this case, Austin from Rekluse walked in the door of our shop which is across town from Rekluse and we turned a camera on. Sure, you should soak your plates in oil prior. For the time we had available, this is what we could do.
You said an eighth of an inch at the end and it looked like when you turned the throttle the weight of your finger pushed the clutch like half way in? Looked like yours moved about an inch or so
Any experience or suggestions on the auto disc springs or pressure plate setting when running a modified ECU? 2020 KTM 500 EXC-F six day. I am running an Athena GET ECU and exhaust end cap. Installing Rekluse radius cx and wondering if I need to change anything on the Rekluse to handle the little extra power?
Do y’all have any experience with the RFS engines? I have a 05 and I’m trying to put a Z Start pro in and I’m having problems and the instructions aren’t clear at all
Hello from Greece. I just bought a gas gas 350 an a recluse. I installed it but when I m trying to find the starting points in the slave cylinder it’s all the same. It has no resistance. Can y help me!
It will slip, to 1-prevent stalling of engine when you lock the rear tire, 2-no need to shift gears or use clutch in harder sections of terrain, 3-smoother starts on hills. Bad thing, 1-transmission won't hold on hills to keep bike from rolling, Disclaimer: I don't use one so these are just the things I've gathered from talking with a few fellow riders who do use them that I would consider benefits or problems.
No more hand clutching.... You just shift the foot lever and the Recluse does the feathering for you, even in first gear. Just twist the throttle and go. No hand work required.
The modern Rekluse can still be controlled manually. It feels exactly the same and behaves the same as the stock. But when you come to a stop in gear it disengages seamlessly. It's a very nice piece of kit.
Why? If you are installing the clutch in a bike with good dampers, use them. If they are worn out, you needed to replace them anyhow. All that would do is increase the price of the kit for something you might not need.
