Every time I find something I want for my 750 lo and behold there you are installing the EXACT item I just bought. Thank you so much for your clear, concise and instructive videos.

Hi Adam, one of your better videos. Not necessarily from a content perspective, but presentation. Keep it positive, keep it real. Getting a lot of ideas for a 750. 👍

Those original foot pegs are ridiculously narrow. Reminds me of the footpegs pegs on my 1975 Bultaco trials motorcycle.

Totally right. They were uncomfortable and offered almost no support.

I bought this peg and installed it on the lower setting. very hard to get a wrench on nut. Love the pegs and good video.

They're really nice. I like them...they are a HUGE pain to install. Glad you got them done yourself.

Aye, those are at least 2.25x better than the OEM. I would think the OEM are tiring after only a couple hours in the saddle.

Question: appears the foot peg sticks out further cause of the needed bracket which also means the inner pegs isn’t as close to the bike. Is this noticed while riding?
@AdamChandler86

You do notice it after running OEM pegs but you do get used to it. I guess if you keep ankles against the frame for control, it might take some getting used to but as a touring bike, it’s fine.

@@AdamChandler86 Thank you. Just got myself a 850gs, low seat version. Would like to extend my legs some but first I will ride with the oem pegs for a while as I have yet to do a long ride.

looks like they stick out 1/2 inch further from the sides than the original pegs.

Damn man, there won't be anything original left on that bike soon. Next Week: Install: Honda engine gearbox and drivetrain for F750GS :)

Conclusion and thoughts after having used them for a couple of years? Any thumbs up or down with the slight forward cant?

They're nice pegs. I haven't taken them out of touring (rubber topper) mode. and they're comfortable for all day riding and some standing. They do lean forward slightly but that makes it nice to stand up and feel in control.

I over torqued the rear bolt on the lever and snapped off. Ordered a new one but doesn't fit. What do I have to do? Remove the entire bracket?

Whoa, I honestly don’t know. Might be time to take it to a tech.

Where did you get these from Adam? Think I'll be adding these to my 850 at the lower position. The rear brake is nearly impossible to use while standing, going to start with foot pegs first, BMW wants $200+ for the Adventure brake pedal...

If you’re in the USA, Twisted Throttle is the best place but I tried to buy from them for 9 months and they were never in stock. So SD-Moto out of Italy got my business and it still took 5 weeks to get to my house in NH USA but Twisted throttle in that time still never had them in stock.

do you still have ion footpegs on your bike? how have they been for you?

Adam, what is your opinion of the quality of these foot pegs. I am looking for something for my R1200GS. The ones that are on my bike are painful because they are so skinny. Looking for a good peg and was thinking the rubber insert would cut down on the vibrations after long hours in the saddle. Would you recommend or do you have another option you like better that you have tried.? Thanks,
@AdamChandler86

It's a great touring peg. one of the few with a rubber top that is easily removable. I use Black Dog on my R1200 but it's a lot of off road. If you do mostly touring, the ION is really nice.

@@AdamChandler86 one last question on the ION peg. It looks like it makes the peg stick out farther away from the bike than the standard pegs? It looked like you would have to turn your foot in pretty far to hit the brake or shifter? Thanks.
@AdamChandler86

Well, I'm a size 13 which is why I always add a custom adjustable shift lever and set it out to the farthest setting. This being Heather's bike with a size 6, she has the shifter set closer which is why I did my boot-dance :) On my big GS, I have pegs twice the size with the same shifter.
