Installation Tips for Mossberg Shockwave and Remington Tac-14 Heat Shield Barrel Shroud NEW PROTO!! 

I have bought several of these right from the factory. I just use a Dremel with a cut off wheel. Remove the front end 3/8”. Switch to a sanding drum. Radius smooth and blend all edges and corners. Heavy cut off wheel on Dremel for a relief V notch for front sight. Spray painted with Rustoleum OD Green flat hunting paint. Took bolts that came with it to hardware and got one twice as long. Bent it in the middle making a shallow arc. Feeds right under the barrel. The stock cob fore grip is fine. Magpul will rub. There is a company that sells one that will clear the heat shield and it has an insert because the action bars are shorter than a standard Mossberg. I bought Magpul foreend and softened it with a heat gun and spread it while holding it in a vise. Put a rail on it and a $35 green laser from Sportsman’s Guide. The Shockwave barrel is beefy and had it externally threaded the same as the KSG. I can mount my Salvo 12 on it for a No Country for Old Men look. 37” long total. Or a 5 port steel stand off. That helps protect the treads.

Hi, I just purchased a heat shield for my Remington 870, I have a smooth bore 18.5 inch barrel, instillation looks easy.

I have the Mossberg 590 S shockwave, and the standard Mossberg 590 S. Do you make heat shields for both of these firearms? Never mind I just got on your website and you definitely have heat. Shields for both! Great site by the way very easy to navigate and find what I’m looking for. I was very pleased to see how much cheaper the shields are than I imagined, I’m looking forward to adding these to my shotguns!

Does it fit without modification when the Streamlight TL racker is installed rather than the oem foregrip??

Does this work with the magpul forend when it's modded to fit the shockwave? Looking at the vapor heat shield possibly but I also have the fiber optic replacement for the bead so I'm curious if I could add that to the top of it or not

Your heat shields are way too long just buy 50648 shockwave they factory weld one on
